It’s a very nice date night for my wife & I. I planned a quick bites at a local brewery. However, they were under staffed and turned us away. Lucky for us, we stumbled on Tsunami at Lehi. Our server, Nate was very courteous and attentive to our order. We made it quick since it’s close to closing time. We ordered a Kirin Ichiban beer from Japan to pair with our sushi dinner. A seaweed salad with two bowls of miso soup. The salad tasted good but the soup was cold. We also ordered a Dragon roll and a Spider roll. Both rolls hit the spot and were very tasty. Overall, we liked the restaurant for its cleanliness and very subtle ambiance. Along with a friendly staffs call for another visit soon.
Fantastic experience! Fast sitting, our service guy was so friendly and polite(sorry I forgot his name, I should remembered)! Everything was served very fast, we were impressed by the food qualities too. Downtown Takashi was our favorite sushi place, so we were comparing every single bite we had in Tsunami with our Takashi memories, our conclusion is now we have two favorites. I can't speak enough the fantastic experience we had tonight, it was also my husband's birthday, thank you for the yummy food and great services! 100% Recommend!
The food is good here, but the service for the price has decreased. There was an hour delay for sushi (which happens and that’s okay) so I ordered a burger as they said it would be faster. My co-workers sushi came out sooner than the burger and then my other co-workers burgers came, still nothing for me. By the time everyone finished their food my burger arrived. No sorry, no nothing. I’ll be recommending my team not to go here anymore.
Great service and they got us in fairly quickly despite the lunch rush. Always loved this location, the food has never disappointed and always great staff. We love the various sushi, and the lunch boxes are our favorites!
We went to dinner and had the BEST meal ever! We ordered the combination dinner and all I can say is that everything was soooo good and I could not wait to come back. A month later we came back for lunch. This time I ordered the chicken katsu. The tempura vegetables were still tasty and delicious, but the breaded chicken and rice were awful! I have never spit food out of my mouth before, but that breaded chicken was uneatable! The rice was dry and crunchy on the edges like it had been sitting out for hours.
This location has a terrible vibe. You walk in and the walls start screaming, “I’m a trashy diner!” We were shown to our seat and it took about 10 minutes before our waiter showed up to take our order… but we were never given a menu. Apparently, they expected us to know to find the menu on a QR code slapped on the edge of the table with packing tape. The food is average but a bit pricey for what you get. If you come in with low expectations and take the experience at face value, the restaurant is fine.
Really enjoy the sushi here. Executive, fire breathing dragon, and Vegas roll are among our favorites.
Shrimp poppers. Just order them, they’re fantastic. The sushi tastes good and is skillfully prepared. The menu offers a nice range of items. It’s usually pretty busy at dinner, so we like to go here for lunch.
Very nice restaurant with a great array of sushi and other entrees. The staff is knowledgeable of the menu and other variations of rolls. The wait time is generally accurate, and they have pick up options available as well. I love sushi, and this place delivers.
Everything was great as always, but I've never had shrimp poppers that were so light and crispy. Just amazing. My go to roll is the Vegas.
