Bad quality and awkward serviceI was so disappointed when the rainbow rolls were served. The tuna was fluorescent pink, the yellowtail was mushy, the avocado looked like it was smeared on, and the roll came apart as soon as you touched it.Our server was no older than 14. The manager (who was probably the server’s parent) berated and yelled at our server in front of all the guests in the middle of the restaurant. We felt so uncomfortable that we finished our meal quickly in order to leave.I’m leaving two stars because the beef and broccoli dish was decent although the side of fried rice was just rice and soy sauce.
My wife and I love to get sushi, but it is generally something we only eat on occasion because of the price. Red 8 makes it affordable while still being high quality sushi! The togo service is exceptional and makes it so easy to pickup on my way home from work. In addition to the great food, the staff is amazing and so friendly. We've been customers for about 3 years and will continue to be customers for years to come!
Love going here, favorite sushi in Utah County! always a great price and tons of options. appetizers are fantastic, service has always been really speedy for sushi. overall wonderful!
Perhaps I came on off day for the chefs..I ordered to go and as soon as it was ready I left and drove less than 5 minutes down the road to my home to eat. The sushi was very dry and was lacking in flavor and the rice was dry as well and like it had been scraped from the bottom of the pan or something.I wanted to try this place because of their good reviews but my takeout order was not satisfying at all like the order was just stale and musky tasting. I think I'll give them one more try and I'll go sit down and order for dine in and see if the fish sushi is any fresher.. But if it's the same when I dine in then this place is not good it's cheap for cheap sushi people maybe I'm just used to fresher quality sushi with a higher price tag. Idk. But I've had more satisfying sushi from a Smith's grocery store or something.And that's not a good thing. I'd say my experience tonight compared to some of that weird sushi you get at the Chinese buffets. ?
Sushi was amazing. Make sure to buy something at Smith's and on the back of the receipt you will find a coupon for this place.
As soon as we arrived they gave us a table for three, and that's when it all began ... the waiter of Asian origin was rude, insolent, he warned us that the only thing we had to drink was soft drinks ... as we ordered three green tea, he brought the three cups in one hand, and as one slipped so that it would not drop, he took it from the edge and put his finger in the tea ... when ordering the waiter's aptitude I continue to be unpleasant and mocking !!! The experience was completely unpleasant! And the food wasn't the best either! I do not recommend this place at all !!!
The sushi at Red8 is decent. For the price it is a great value. We shared 6 rolls between us, the sunset, rainbow, crazy girl, caterpillar, sweetheart and Bruno in & out rolls. Our favorite one was the crazy girl, which was also the spiciest. The least favorite was the caterpillar. All the rolls were good quality, but it seems we like the spicy rolls best! Compared to other sushi restaurants the rolls here were a little smaller and were not as carefully constructed, that's why 4 stars instead of 5. I will definitely return again to try more of their long list of sushi rolls!
This has been our go to place for some quick sushi rolls lately. The price is reasonable for the amount/size of the rolls. Usually there's a sign that says 50% off which means that the rolls anywhere from $4-$8 per roll.They also have lots of other dishes that are good as well. I had the kung Pao chicken last time, it was good but severely lacking in the amount of chicken.

Missed the mark. We eat here pretty regularly (6-7 times a year) and the past few months have not been great. Tonight for example, the soup was less than half filled. Unripe veggies in the entrees, soggy sweet and sour chicken and chewy beef. Just when the prices go up too.I'm happy to pay more to keep the business running and here but not with a drop in quality. I know you can do better.
