Our first time here. The food and service was amazing!

We came here on a Tuesday at 4:00 and it was pretty empty. Not long after we had been seated though, it started to pick up. If we come back, we’ll make sure to be here by 4:00 to avoid the crowd. We were greeted with smiles when we first walked in and we’re seated almost immediately. Our waitress was Anika and she was really sweet and patient while we navigated the menu.We were having a hard time deciding what we wanted, but then finally made our choice. We shared the lunch special (mahi mahi fish tacos) and some brussels sprouts as an appetizer. We also ordered drinks (he got a köstritzer schwarzbier and I got a Love Potion #9). If you like Guinness on tap, you’ll love a köstritzer schwarzbier. I absolutely loved the Love Potion #9. I could taste every ingredient in the drink and they went together so well.He ordered the mahi mahi entree and his tastebuds were absolutely blown away! I’M ordering that the next time we go! It was heavenly!I ordered the frikadellen and it was good. I just wish it had some sort of a sauce to go over the meatballs. It just would have taken it up a notch. We had an “appetizer”, two drinks, two entrees, and our bill (before tip) was around $79.I want to come back for more drinks, mahi mahi, and maybe some dessert!

Our new favorite restaurant, amazing food and great service. They have very delicious food, and large portions that are made from scratch. We've gone 3 times and been very impressed each time. Just call ahead when you're on your way, they don't have very many tables. Do yourself a favor and get the schnitzel with lemon caper sauce and bee sting cake!!!

We visited the restaurant during a short break in Layton and we certainly weren’t dissappointed! Great food, great service - an excellent way to sample lots of different German dishes without feeling comatose afterwards - would wholeheartedly recommend!

Authentic German dishes with great service!

Every single bite was incredible. We had the deviled eggs, the pretzel and the artichoke dip with crostini for appetizers. Literally the best spinach and artichoke dip I've ever had anywhere, and I've traveled all over the United States. The ground beef, leek, and potato soup? Do not miss an opportunity to eat it-incredible! For my main dish, I had the Creamy Pork Tenderloin Pasta: INCREDIBLE, and the serving sizes were HUGE. Scotty, our server, did a GREAT job. Backing out of the parking lot was even made easier when the cook staff, who were on break, literally watched for us as we backed out of our space, and then they chatted us up. When I go back to Layton I will be sure to go back to Weller's!

Excellent service. My server, Ani, was awesome. She had all sorts of suggestions to make my solo dining experience a hit. Excellent beer, delicious frikadelle, sauteed greens, and the dessert. The only low--the potato salad was meh.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Started with whiskey lemonade and a sazerac for my wife and some deviled eggs. Drinks were made perfect and the deviled eggs were delicious. Then we ordered a German pizza and schnitzel. The schnitzel was so good. I've never had it and it lived up to the hype. The German pizza was next level. That is one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The flavors are so unique and they cooked it perfectly. The over all vibe of this place is awesome too. Ontop of great food the service was spot on. We will definitely be back.

While the Rouladen took me down memory lane, the Schnitzel was on point! Would definitely recommend it! Either entree with a side of rotkohl is a satisfying, savory Bavarian experience. And as for dessert, the Bienenstich was incredible! I have rarely experienced a dessert with so much enjoyment—a perfect balance of crunch and cream, with just the right amount of sweetness! Finally, the service was fantastic! Nadia was attentive and knowledgeable and the food was prepared incredibly quickly.

some of the best food in Utah!
