Service and food FANTASTIC. Go and you'll see!
Outside of Mexico, this is the BEST authentic food I’ve ever eaten hands down. If there is a Mexican restaurant near any hotel I’m staying at you can bet I’m going to try it as it’s my favourite cuisine.I actually wasn’t even hungry to tell the truth but my husband was so off we went to dinner and I only ordered out of obligation LOL. It just looked so darn good and smelled so good I started eating and then I couldn’t quit it was truly delicious. I ate so much I hurt myself and I didn’t quite finish it all because there was plenty on the plate. I had the loaded quesadillas with chicken.Our waiter was outstanding very thoughtful, efficient and he also had a sense of humour. Food was piping hot and served quickly from the time we ordered it was really quite amazing how efficient all the staff were to see how fast people were in and out. Very enjoyable all in all, don’t hesitate to try this place!
Eh...the service with our server was good odd but ok. Very informal type of work environment. You never know who's a customer and who's the server cause they don't wear work attire. They had signs about social distancing but never actually followed them cause we were seated very close to people. I wouldn't recommend. The food was luke warm and super bland no flavor... I wanted to like it too. ?♀️
Ate there last night and have mixed feelings about it.+ Food quality and portion size are fantastic. Food was served wonderfully hot and the flavors and spices were very on point. In fact, I would go as far as saying that, to me, this is the most delicious Mexican food in Layton.+Food was cooked and brought out quickly.+ Servers were very polite.+/- Decor is a little odd. I liked that different areas were at different levels (sort of like the Layton Applebee's) and it was nice that they had Mexican music playing in the background, but it was a little odd that there was prominent Native American art, but not really any Native American dishes. It was like the decor didn't match the theme of the food.- We were seated quickly but had to wait a long time for our order to be taken.- Once our food was brought out to us, we were relatively forgotten.-We were charged too much and took a little while to sort it all out. To their credit, they were polite about the whole thing.-Food seemed a little overpriced.We're wondering if our service was a fluke. The food was good enough that we want to try it again, and will update this review of we have a better experience.
My parents and I decided to try them for their anniversary. We got seated, they took our drink order, and brought us chips. Shortly after they took our food order.We waited... and waited... and waited. They said our food was almost ready. This was about 20 minutes after they took our order in the first place. We left about 20 minutes after that. In that time, they came up and said our food was almost ready... again.We ended up leaving at 7:05, we were there a full hour and only had drinks, and chips. When we were leaving a guy came up and told us our order was in the window. Welp... if its in the window, how come they didn't just bring it? He then said there were a lot of people. The restaurant was only at about 1/3 capacity. If thats a lot of people, what do they do with a Friday, or Saturday dinner rush?From what it looked like, the cooks make up all the orders at the same time. Instead of just making them as they come in. The amount of time we waited for 3 plates, thats it, no appetizers, just 3 plates, its a bit excessive.Definitely won't be back. The only reason they get a 2 star, is because the chips and salsa were pretty good. The service is definitely lacking. As stated in another review, you don't feel like you are a priority.
I thought this place was gone when HuHot moved in. My wife said there was a great Mexican place that she'd been to a couple times and wanted to take me. It was the same place and I thought it was gone forever! Great small town place with great, authentic Mexican plates and very friendly staff! A definite recommendation if you haven't been.
Service was ok, food was ok. I always want to like this place more but it's only ever, just ok.
Texas native but I have to admit the Monday enchilada special was real good. Great service too.

The food was incredible and I've never had a complaint eating here. Good value, great service and incredible flavor! Highly recommend!
