Ordered a family style French toast breakfast meal today like I do about once a month. Went to pick it up like I always do in the drive through and was told that new management doesn't allow online orders to be picked up through the drive through even though there no way to back out. When I finally got through the drive through (without my food) I went inside to pick up my food. Inside there is no area for online orders pick up... so I got to wait in line behind everybody else again. My food sitting on the counter the whole time getting cold. Complete incompetentence.
I ordered a turkey bacon avocado sandwich. I paid extra for extra bacon, turkey, and avocado. There was 4 tiny slices of avocado in the whole sandwich, hardly any turkey and absolutely no bacon, which made the sandwich taste plain. Very disappointed considering I paid extra for all that. I’ve never had a problem with their food in the past, not sure what quite happened here.
Extremely rude cashier, horribly pushy and mean. I went for my first time and wasn’t very sure what was happening, and instead of helping me to understand they just pushed me and got annoyed and mad when I was confused. Melanie needs to work on being accommodating to those coming in. I’m not expecting much, as I understand food service is hard but at least the general patience-especially since there was no one else in line would be nice. Overheard the same cashier talking to another customer in the lobby when they asked for the bread that came with their food, and they were very upset that she had to go get it for them. Food wasn’t bad though
If you want to have a healthy lunch with a ton of options for everyone, this is the place. Everything is great. HUGE VARIETY of fresh baked breads, pies and desserts to take home. Also great for a special occasion or a special gift for someone you love or are helping. I personally love the sticky bread. I always take a loaf home each visit. The pies are excellent and check out the huge variety of deserts. Many different sandwiches and soups to choose from and are all excellent and healthy. This is a popular place for lunch here in Layton. Enjoy !
Unfortunately this place is really subpar. The portions are tiny, the taste is really average, and the pricing is really high for what you're getting. I left it at 3 stars though because the staff was really nice and knowledgeable. Just wish I was left more satisfied with my experience and my food.
Ordered thru Doordash. Seriously disappointed and disgusted. Ordered a sandwich and eclair. The bread crust was hard in some spots. Did not even make it thru my sandwich before finding a strand of long blonde hair. My eclair tasted old. I will not order Kneaders again. Looked on my receipt and noticed it was from the Layton location. So, most of my lunch ended up in the garbage.
Let me start off with stating that the food is great...if you ever get it. I placed a curbside order and was told to show up at 9:28 AM when I arrived there were no spots for curbside pick up so I parked off to the side. After 10 minutes a spot opened up and I realized that I had to send a text to let them know that I was there and after waiting over 30 minutes and no communication I left with no food and no way to contact them. After calling the store several times and waiting for 10+ minute each time I gave up and left I will be disputing the charge on my card since I never got the goods.
layton kneaders is so cool! it’s the most friendly, clean and fast restaurant i’ve ever been to. the layton general manager is great too, she has all ten toes if you know what i mean? every time i’ve been there my whole experience has gone swimmingly.
I hadn't been to Kneaders for a few years and decided to go for lunch. Though the place was clean and the service was excellent, the sandwich (turkey bacon avocado) was bland and tasteless and the soup (chicken noodle) was also tasteless. I would normally rate this experience a 3 star on taste alone, but once you consider the price, $16 for whole sandwich, cup of soup, and medium drink, there is no excuse for the food being mediocre in flavor. This meal should have been $10 at maximum, and really what they sell as a "cup" is likely closer to 2/3 of a cup liquid measure. Very disappointed. Probably won't be back for another few years.
Kneaders was great when they first came to Utah! But over the years their quality has sunk. You can find better sandwiches with fresher ingredients at your local grocery store. Same goes for their pastries. They do have delicious French toast, other than that it’s not worth the price for low quality food.
