To start off when making grilled chicken stuffed tacos, I may be helpful to actually put chicken in them. Their shake machine is always broken ken and have received a shake that looks more like strawberry milk. When questioning them about it they say that is how it’s supposed to be. I have been going to del taco for many years and have ordered there strawberry shake and it actually being the consistency of an actual shake. When they hand me a runny shake that is the same consistency of milk, I can tell the difference. This del taco needs some major help because they’re starting to make me want to go back to Taco Bell and that’s a huge slap In the face to del taco. Someone needs to come in and retrain these employees the correct way.
Jose Cortez is beyond AMAZING. The Layton Del Taco is so lucky to have him as their general manager. He went above and beyond for me today.I placed a DoorDash order with the Layton Del Taco. I ordered some lunch for a co-worker and me. My co-worker’s food was not in the bag when it was delivered. After speaking with Jose, he went above and beyond to rectify the situation for me. He hand delivered my friend’s food to our work and even brought us a couple Strawberry Sprites.I have always known Del Taco to have excellent customer service. The service I received today exceeded my expectations. I will always eat here.

I ordered their returning favorite the "jumbo shrimp" quesadilla taco and their fish tacos. I was soooo disappointed. The fish tacos were just two fish sticks and some cabbage with pico. I could hold them in two fingers and three bites and I am a tiny person. The jumbo shrimp quesadilla taco was the same size and also three bites. The breading came off super easily which left the shrimp which was the only redeeming quality of the whole thing.
SO SLOW!We waited in the drive through for no joke an hour. The employees weren’t trying to hurry at all, they were just talking and dancing around. Food was wrong and just overall not a good experience.
I ordered a deliver order and it was never delivered even though it was marked delivered with grubhub. I called and spoke to the manager Donna and she was able to help me get my food. She went above and beyond to help. I would like to thank them for all the help. This is why I have only been going to the Layton location. My food is always correct and the staff/management are amazing.
The person at the window had no personality (which I was understanding of because people have bad days) but then when I checked the order she didn’t even put down some of the things I ordered. I went back inside to order it and the person said they couldn’t take the cash.
Del Taco is the bomb!!!Love the crispy chicken tacos & 3-layered nachos.Only complaint is that I desperately want them to bring back the big fat crispy chicken tacos...SO GOOD!!!
Train your staff! New Tamale promotion, big sign says 2 types of tamale plates. I tell the squawk box that I want the chili cheese smothered plate. She asks "2 or 4?" I say 'the one with Chile and cheese on it', she says, huffily, '2 or 4?" I say' I'll take 4 I guess' . I'm now at home staring at 4 wrapped, dry, tamales!! What the hell?!?....
The staff are grate the service was fast food delicious I recommend the chille fries an vanilla ice coffee those are my favorite
