I understand that times are tough right now as far as hiring goes, but the service last night at the Layton location was horrible. They had 3 teens sitting at the counter talking to each other and only one other customer in the store. It took 42 minutes to get one ice cream and get out. And to top it off the owner/manager was sitting right there in the store. She could've used the oppty to teach her employees how to greet customers as they come in, how to make sure they are working efficiently with the customer in mind, etc. Instead she sat there talking to two other employees as they waited for an interview. The ice cream was simple one flavor one mix in and the employee didn't know how to make it. Really disappointing experience but mostly disappointed the manager didn't take the time to see the issue and address it or help their employees.
Great service, we had multiple payment options and they handled it great. Excellent ice cream!
Well don’t order from them online because it will take longer than if you would’ve just gotten in line. When I called to let them know I was outside, they hadn’t even started on my order, which I had ordered 20 minutes prior. I understand being backed up, but don’t have the option of online ordering if you can’t handle it. I saw countless people getting their order before me. Such a disappointment wasting a Sunday night waiting for ice cream. Their website also says they will bring it out to you, which they don’t. So I went inside and sat in line for another 10 minutes as no one paid attention. I waited almost an hour total. Such a joke. Never coming here again.
There are so many reasons why this Cold Stone is the best one. I'll illustrate just one. You're welcome.
I places an order for pickup at 7:48 and was told the order would be ready at 8:05. When I show up they have a full house and 5 or 6 online orders. They tell me it will be a few min longer to complete the order. No problem I understand being backed up. But I didn't get my order till 8:45. I was super disappointed that I should have just hopped in line because they probably served about 15 people before my order was complete.Then on top of it the single recees peanut butter cup was made with fudge instead of ice cream. I would say this is the worst experience that I have ever had at cold stone. Also, ice cream all over the package and given to me like the pictures.One upside my wife called about the recees peanut butter cup and they did remake it for her the correct way. So that is a good thing.
HANDS DOWN THE BEST SERVICE EVER. LITERALLY THE PRIME COLDSTONE LOCATION AND QUITE POSSIBLY THE PRIME LOCATION OF ANYTHING. A+ EXPERIENCE COULDNT HAVE BEEN BETTER.
I've ever seen a Cold Stone in such a state. I've loved this franchise for over a decade & I've been to them in almost every state. This place was not only a disaster (ice cream everywhere) but the customer service was seriously lacking. We stood for at least 10 minutes and no one even acknowledged us. There were 5 people behind the counter and no one else in line. I still love Cold Stone Creamery, but I'll not be coming back to this store.

Ice cream was sooooo soft and half-melted. Worst ice cream I've had from this place. Regretted coming here. Not sure why the ice cream wasn't frozen properly, but it just wasn't pleasant to eat, especially for the premium price.
Very slow service. It took them 15+ minutes to get to us, and we were the front of the line. They weren't understaffed either. They had 3 staff and still couldn't take our order in a timely manner.
