It's a 4 to 4+. It's solid. No reason we found not to go.If you're looking for above average, solid Chinese food then hit it. It'll fill your needs for sure.In the surrounding area I'd say it's on par with the others that are the best for the area. However I'd suggest the Mandarin in Bountiful if you're looking for top of the top.Over 2 separate visits, 1 sit down and the other take out.....We tried the sweet and sour and egg drop soups. They were average at best. I'd pass and hit the salad option next time.We tried the wonton soup and it was a 4.Apps we did the chicken wrapped chicken, gyoza, egg rolls. The chicken wrapped was disappointing but the rest was good.We then tried general Tao's chicken, the walnut shrimp, ham fried rice, orange peel chicken, beef and broccoli, shrimp and snow peas. They were all solid 4's. Great choices.Atmosphere is dated so don't let it throw you off. Service was great!
I just ordered the house wonton soup and it seriously tastes like they made dumplings and threw them in a can of chicken broth. The dumplings are chewy, mushy, with tiny meat inside Sad veggies. Shrimp is so old tasting . Thank God there was only 1 in there.. Dry chicken. Dry, flavorless pork No love added to this soup at all. So sad:( If they served this to their Chinese elders they would be so upset. I dare the owners to serve this soup to their family. I threw the soup away. Never ordering here again.
My wife and were in Layton shopping, she suggested Chinese food for dinner. China hill was close by, so we thought we should give it a try, and glad we did. Food was awesome and service was great. Made it a great night.
Compared to most of the other takeout places around here this place was decent. The chicken entree wasn’t over battered or soggy. Tasted fresh. The soup and rice were nothing to rave about, and the lo mein was decent.
Placed an order for takeout and was told 40min. I arrive a few minutes after the time mentioned and was told it would be another 20-35min. Not only does that make it over an hour wait... but they can't even pin down how long it takes to make orders. Shameful. Yet another restaurant blaming their inability to meet customer demand by saying they are short staffed. The solution to that is simple, if it truly is the issue... treat your employees like human beings and pay them a liveable wage.
First time customer. My wife and I ordered take out based on the reviews we read. We wanted to try something new and are always looking for good Chinese food. We were not disappointed. The food was well prepared, fresh and delicious! We ordered sweet and sour chicken, beef with snow peas, lettuce wraps and hot and sour soup. Definitely recommend! Looking forward to trying more dishes in the very near future.
The best Chinese take out by far in Layton, Clearfield or Clinton. The portions were perfect, empty plates all around. It was so good we will never order from anywhere else again!! Everything tasted good. We had sweet and sour chicken and pork. As well as the Moo shu beef..Bravo China Hill!!
If you're looking for some tasty vegetarian options, look no further than China Hill. Their Sesame Tofu is simply marvelous, as is their fried rice. I haven't had anything here that wasn't delicious. Great food, great prices.
The food was good, just that the restaurant is a bit dirty and needs at least some cleaning but the food was good ?
Most delicious sweet and sour chicken ever! So many green peppers, carrots and pineapples. I loved how the sauce was on the side. My husband loved the Tao chicken.
