Delivery drivers are not allowed to make soda stop yelling at us for asking you to make the drinks. Specifically it was a girl and a white hoodie working the takeout line. When I express that we as careers are not allowed to prepare food she said that sucks. When I said okay are you going finish preparing the order so I can take it she yelled at me and went back to making other orders. Every time I tried to get her attention or anyone else's attention including calling the store I was ignored. This place is always miserable to pick up from. And even with my own personal experiences going there to get food it's like I'm unwelcome. I would never recommend this Cafe Rio to anyone. Honestly they should go to the airport to train at their Cafe Rio and then come back and actually know how to do their job.
It seems like the more I go to cafe rio, the more I have mistakes. I have been getting overcharged for smothered burritos and extra tortillas that are just on the side. Don’t get me wrong, the food is really good and I will keep going back for it, but it would be great if the service matched the taste quality. I also love the rewards program
We walked in about 15 minutes before closing time and they were already taking down the soda machines and there were still several people in line. The place was filthy and some of the staff were less than friendly. I asked for the vinegrette dressing and the gave me the ranch dressing, then when I asked for the correct dressing she slid the correct dressing across the counter at me instead of simply handing it to me. Then to top it off, the cashier charged me for an extra dressing! I tried to argue the point, but the cashier didn't speak very good English so I just let it go.
We did not have a good experience. The food had good flavor, but the woman taking our order did not listen to what we asked for, over and over again. She was just trying to get us out of her line as fast as possible. She didn't make my daughter's food how she asked so she didn't eat it because it came out so soggy. The same lady was wiping in between the food prep areas with a rag, and whatever was on that rag was falling into the food. The Same lady was separating Tortillas and laid one on her filthy chest. Just a horrible experience. We probably won't be back.
The food at Cafe Rio was good tonight. We found the Horchatta to be delicious. My wife and I didn't want to register a complaint. If you are going to be open until 10, then you should allow customers to have drinks until 10.
Usually these guys are pretty good, but today I walked in and wasn’t greeted, then this guy proceeded to not put sweet pork on my enchiladas, as the little container thing was empty and he was just trying to grab the tiny strands of pork. When I commented he ignored me, stuffed them full of cheese that didn’t even melt, and then the next lady threw rice onto my plate by accident and didn’t apologize, when I paid, I also wasn’t given a receipt, had to grab it myself.
We are traveling to Colorado and stopped at Cafe Rio tonight to have some dinner. My son who has down syndrome and is non-verbal was visibly upset because he was having trouble communicating what he wanted. One worker came up to us and he offered him a free dessert to help calm him down. Another woman who worked there spoke with him calmly and kindly and gave him some straws to play with and distracted him. After we were done there was a big mess left over and as we were cleaning she told us it was okay and to leave it. There are no words to describe the appreciation I have for the workers at this Cafe Rio location. I know the woman told me she didn't speak much English so I hope someone is able to translate what I have written and tell them how much I appreciate their kindness, patience and hard work.
Super busy but that's to be expected on a Friday at 5. Friendly staff that actually listens. 4 stars only because I never got a receipt so I couldn't even get my points ( I would have gotten 3x pints and spent about $50-60 here) or make sure I was charged correctly and didn't notice until I got home.
I placed an online order for pickup. First off let me say that the condition of the restaurant was unacceptable. The temperature inside felt like it was over 80 °F, the ice machine wasn't working properly, the poor workers looked hot, irritated, and miserable. I did appreciate them putting up a smile, even in such horrible climate.. Secondly, the food quality was just sad. Guacamole, Pico de Gallo, and salsa(watery, really sour and bitter) was tasteless and so watered down. For a Mexican place this (sauces, salsa, Guac) should have been on point, total disappointment. They should taste their sauces and have better quality control of the food going out. Definitely not returning for a long while.
What more can I say but yum! However If u want sweet go back to Costa vita. Fair warning this place is so yummy it is often busy, especially during lunch and dinner time, so please be patient, or order doordash ahead of time. If you haven't tried the tres Leche I suggest you do. I love the chicken, but the sweet pork is yummy too. They even have steak for the steak lovers. I also recommend the mint limeade. I have been told everything is made in house. This place is pretty clean even the bathrooms.
