Tasty food. Nice , polite staff. Food was fixed quickly. Waited only about 6 or 7 minutes after ordering at the window. The drive through was very busy. I parked & walked up to the service window. I had the three piece with side of baked beans & cornpone. The cornpone reminded me of an elongated piece of cornbread that was a little akin to a cookie. The honey butter was good for dipping the cornpone into. I'm not sure what they use for the breading on the fried chicken , perhaps cornmeal was part of the coating? It was very good. I think that's why it's "famous". Because the chicken was very good. Yes it was. :-)
We ordered a regular chicken and grilled chicken meal. We also got a roll and coconut cream pie. I had high expectations and was disappointed. The sandwich and fries were good, but only came with mayo and pickles. The roll was just gross. The grilled chicken was bland. Pie was okay.Overall, the food was fine, not famous. Nothing special about this place. The food we ordered wasn't good enough to bring me back.
maddox customer service has went downhill so bad in the last year. the workers taking the order and at the window are SO rude. I loved going here because the food is good. then I noticed smaller portions were being given. whatever. what really drew the line was the service. the bad attitude. someone should not have to sit at the speaker waiting to order and when finally getting help the worker have such a nasty attitude and rush us through the process. got to the window and asked to add to my order as they were not letting me finish and was told I need to go through the line again. this place was a favorite of mine and now you guys are terrible. get better people with better attitude or all your loyal customers will be lost. good luck.
We have driven up from Utah County for their chicken burgers over the last couple years and loved them! But this time, we were so disappointed. Their burgers have changed, they are no longer super crispy on the outside, moist and flavorful on the inside. They are just an average chicken burger now, dry and barely crisp. Fries are also just average now. Don’t know what changed but wish they would go back to their original recipes, we used to adore this place and recommend it to friends, but sadly the food doesn’t hold up anymore.
Delicious food, but always the slowest wait!
Chicken was ok if we only got how many we bought to feed everyone. Missing three pieces. There was nothing famous about it though. No crust at all.Pieces was tiny.Fries was even tinyer.Coleslaw was a spoon full in a tiny container.Rolls was dry.Thank goodness we went on a Monday when we got the family dinner special supposedly.Won't be going backOh the pie if that's what you call it horrible. No taste except the crust it taste of pure lard.
This is the best fried chicken we've had in Utah. It's a drive for us but we try to visit at least once or twice a year and are always glad we did. This chicken has such a good flavor and the sides are good. We can get our adult kids to spend the afternoon with us if we offer to go for a drive here. It's more than a restaurant, it's a parenting tool-ha ha!
Food is tasty, always hot. My score of 2 is due to the Manager/Owner on site on Dec 2 2021 just after 11:00am. We ordered 2 Chicken Sandwich meals, and usually save the burgers for after we eat the side dishes, which were ll very good. When we got to our chicken burgers, the sandwich did not taste right. I looked at the receipt and for some reason we received fried turkey burgers. There was no way we ordered turkey burgers, since we never ordered them in the past and didn't even know that fried Turkey burgers existed. Since both the Chicken and Turkey burgers are breaded fried sandwiches we couldn't tell visually that we had the wrong order. I called them to let them know what happened and that we just needed to get the Chicken burgers we ordered. Over the phone we were told that we had to bring back the ENTIRE meal to get a refund. I told the person on the phone that I didn,'t need the complete meal, just the Chicken Burgers. When we go back, we wait 15 minutes and are told again that we need to return the entire meal. I again say that we do not need the entire meal, or do we need our money back. All of the sudden a woman in the back (heavy set, short dark hair) starts yelling about their policy of returns only being honored if the entire meal is returned. I repeat that we only need the Chicken Burgers (which have already been made for us, btw) and the lady in back starts screaming at me about their "policy'. We end up getting the entire meal back (not needed or asked for) and I left upset and frustrated with how we were treated. We were not listened to at all and left extremely frustrated. As much as I like their food, we will never be back.
While the food is usually great, the service may just be the slowest in the entire state. You could cook a whole turkey in the oven faster than you could get a turkey burger at this place. Don't bother trying to bypass the drive through for the walk up window either; it won't help.
Are you ordering pies for Thanksgiving or Christmas? DO NOT COME HERE. Yes, the pies are good but it’s NOT worth the nightmare you’ll have to put up with to go get them. TWO YEARS in a row I’ve put in pie orders and then when going to pick them up they tell me they “can’t find my order.” The first year they magically found my order a few hours later… This year the girl on the phone had the audacity to tell me to come the day after Thanksgiving…how does that help me now? DO NOT accept orders if you cannot fulfill them! It’s so dishonest. I know they’re just accepting orders until the pies are gone. Do not waste your time here!!! I will never be back here again.
