best place for sushi hands down!
love this place. I eat here every week. love the people, love the food. this place is the best
Amazing food and wonderful atmosphere. Our server Nori was outstanding, and the type you will remember years later and makes you want to go back for more great food and service. It’s our go to place whenever we are in town!
Definitely the best sushi I’ve tried in Utah so far!!This restaurant really blew me away. The inside is beautifully appointed and clean. I loved the variety of seating options including the choice to sit at the sushi bar. The sushi is prepared right in the middle of the restaurant for all to see. Our server was excellent and the chefs checked on our food as well. Prices were very fair. The menu is extensive and offers classic rolls and some truly crazy options. I even tried a roll covered in crushed hot Cheetos!!The appetizers we had were delicious. I was a bit disappointed that after one member of our party indicated dietary restrictions, the edamame she ordered came with soy sauce with gluten in it. It’d be good for servers to clarify such things in the future. Did not end up being a big deal as the bibimbap they modified for her was plenty of food! The rolls were all delicious but the dessert roll-the Cloud 9-stood out as the best. It was both rich and light at the same time, and absolutely delicious! I was also given a free ice cream for my birthday. All in all, highly recommended.
We had the Hawaii and Kraken roll and the Momo for “dessert”. Wow! Fabulous food! And our server was so friendly and sweet! She recommended a mix of the peach and mango saki…very tasty!!
A new favorite! Blue Fin was an experience from the moment I walked through the door. My eyes were greeted with unique shapes and colors. The experience didn't end there. Our group was seated at a table in a private space. Our server let us know that they had a fresh shipment today and listed the three fish that were the most fresh. We chose our rolls based on her recommendations and got The Lemon Land Roll, Blue Fin Roll, and a Spicy Yellowtail Roll. The two lemon rolls had a sweet fresh flavor. The Blue Fin is drizzled with white truffle oil which left a warm smokey flavor in my mouth. I will definitely be back to explore more of the menu!
Went there for the first time tonight. It wasn’t busy when we got there and we were seated right away. Our server came right away and took our drink and appetizer order. We admired how beautiful the place is. Great atmosphere and beautiful decor. We didn’t see him or anyone else again for 25 minutes. Our water finally showed up after 25 minutes. We asked about our edamame. They said it would be coming soon. 20 more minutes went by and we asked about it again because now it had been 45 minutes. The manager brought it out and apologized and it was the best edamame! He also said he would credit it off the bill for the wait. So then after another 10-15 minutes our sushi rolls came out which tasted really good! It was delicious. But just WAY too long of a wait. They did not appear to be understaffed and it wasn’t packed in there. Then we got our bill (edamame was NOT deducted) but to avoid another long wait time we paid for it and left. The food was great but I would probably choose another place because their prices are high and the wait time is unreasonable.
So delicious! We had a great experience. The best sushi in Davis county!
Trying to form words when my tongue is still salivating after dinner is proving to be a struggle so just look through these pictures while I gather myself ?There have been MANY reviews for Blue Fin Sushi over the last few months, and I can't really tell you anything you won't read on here or a different platform. For several months they were in a soft opening phase, but with their grand opening behind them, they are an up and coming sushi restaurant that will have you wondering why you spoke so highly of all your favorites before trying them.My husband and I were lucky enough to sit at the sushi bar in front of Tyler and have Emma as our waitress, both owners of this amazing establishment. It's obvious they have high expectations for themselves and the dining experience they provide customers. I can tell you they hit every mark, and I'm not just talking about them as owners. From the moment we stepped in the door, our host was forth coming about expected wait times, not just for a table but also for a sushi order. I watched as all those working around the sushi bar communicated and assisted where needed but never skimped on quality or care of the food they were making. We didn't go with the sushi boat you see everyone rave about (although we'll be back for that another day). Instead we went with three items off the daily special menu, an every day menu roll and their signature dessert roll. Each roll was unique with flavors that made them melt into a perfect blend and touched each taste receptor in your mouth. The quality of fish was evident in every bite and even the roll we had that was primarily fish didn't leave a fishy after taste. With good seafood comes a cost. If you're used to quality seafood from a dining experience out of Utah, you won't be shocked when you see the menu prices. For 2 appetizers, 3 sushi rolls, dessert and a soda for each of us, I felt the entire meal, atmosphere, and experience surpassed the final price tag on the check. It truly is a seafood establishment that Northern Utah has been lacking for years and I'm sure I'm not the only one glad Tyler and Emma found a home for it in Davis County.? 1: Ebi Mayo? 2: Garlic Edamame? 3: Flamin Phoenix? 4: Ocean Roll? 5: Cloud 9 RollAlso had the Blue Dragon Roll (you can see one left in the background of picture 3, although it didn't stay there long lol). I forgot to get a picture of it when it first came out.
First and foremost we had the best server, Daniel. He was pretty amazing. Our food came out fairly quickly however it took a while for our sushi rolls to come out which means it was made with love and everything nice because it was Incredible. Not only did we have the best server, we had the best sushi EVER! If you ever find yourself in Layton, stop by Blue Fin Sushj. You will not regret it! Mahalo Daniel for your amazing service!
