We really liked the sushi here, but the ramen dishes are relatively bland. Cool and modern vibe inside.

This is our new go to place for Sushi. The staff is helpful, kind, and quick. Our favorite rolls are Volcano, Holiday, and Mt. Fuji. The sushi is prepared while you wait so it is fresh and flavorful. If you don't like sushi they have some amazing traditional Asian dishes as well. The Chicken Teriyaki is spectacular. We have eaten at the restaurant, but have also gotten take out. Either way The Sushi Japanese Cuisine is a must try!

Decent sushi for a reasonable price. We stop in every once in a while because they do have a few interesting rolls that are fun to try. Most of the rolls are in the $9-16 range, but they do buy one get one 50% off so that helps a little. Plan on $10-12 per roll. I would recommend coming here if you're tired of your regular sushi place and want to try something different once. Overall, there are better and cheaper sushi places out there, so this wouldn't be my main go to place.Service is usually ok, but not great. Last time we went in we waited for 5 to 10 minutes before they noticed us to get a seated, (on a Thursday). Food comes out quickly.Rolls can be a little hit and miss. On our last visit the seaweed used to wrap the roles was a little chewy, made the rolls a little harder to eat. Some of the rolls are pretty good, others just OK.Ichi roll is always good. Seasons roll was different and pretty good. We also tried the cucumber wrapped roll with spicy plum sauce. Definitely interesting to try, but not super delicious probably wouldn't order again.

Truly authentic sushi! Would recommend to all. Food came out fast and was super fresh. Waiter was attentive and food was reasonably priced.

POSITIVES: Don't let the name fool you, this place is chock full of options besides sushi. Whether it's curry, rice, noodles, teriyaki chicken, a bento box, or a variety of ramen, this place offers lots of satisfying options. The appetizers are equally tempting : edamame, calamari, gyoza, takoyaki, etc.As far as sushi goes, this place nails it with a blend of great flavor and awesome presentation. I ordered the colorful "Playboy roll" (fried shrimp, salmon, tobiko--tiny fish eggs, and jalapeño) and the "Phoenix roll" (tempura shrimp, eel, avocado, salmon, jalapeño, green onion, sesame seeds, teriyaki sauce, and spicy mayo.). This roll was unlike anything if ever been presented with at a sushi restaurant...trust me, it is very exciting and worth every penny. The Japanese decor and theme is very friendly and inviting. The waitress was extremely polite and knowledgeable. Also, the mochi ice cream is fabulous, and you can't go wrong with it.NEGATIVES: the menu was covered in grease from someone fingers... Not sure if the material just attracts grease really easily or something... Also, there was a BOGO 50% off for all sushi rolls... I only ordered 2 rolls myself (one was $15ish, the other would have been about $7 with the offer), and I somehow still walked out paying $30, aside from tip. Still not terrible, but not what I had expected.PRICE: expect to pay $15-30 per person depending on how much food you get.VERDICT: it was a fun experience, and I'm definitely curious about some of the other sushi rolls (and curry!) It's love to come back, but given the price, I may have to wait until my work takes us out so it's on their dime.

We go to dinner here 4-5 times a year. We like that there is never a wait and go out of convenience not for the great sushi. Why not for the great sushi? Because like the service, the sushi is average. This is a solid 3 star sushi joint.

Our go-to sushi place for the south end of The Valley. Rolls are always amazing. Never had a bad experience. Very reasonably priced on top of all that. Would give more stars if I could!

Absolutely delicious, great atmosphere, and excellent service.

Wonderful food. Very helpful, knowledgeable, and cheerful staff. Calm atmosphere. We will be back!! Don't miss the tempura!!

Always amazing! Staff are welcoming, friendly and knowledgable. Food is always fresh and the prices are reasonable!
