Authentic, delicious, unique and amazing cuisine! Everything from the tender pork chops, savory sauces, fried chicken like I have never had before, sides that were shockingly good, drinks that are refreshing and cornbread that takes you back to the south! I highly recommend the Sauce Boss - Southern Kitchen and agree with the other 5 star reviews! The owner and Executive Chef-Julius took time to introduce himself and checked in with us multiple times during our visit. He is a humble, talented and gifted chef! We will be back again.

Party of 6, not one dish missed the mark! Amazing huge catfish and best bread pudding EVER!
I finally had the opportunity to go and check this place out. I had the chicken fried chicken, wow, it was awesome! I give it 5 ⭐️ Service was great too. I’ll be going back soon to check out the rest of the menu!
My table of 5 ordered multiple items. Both appetizers, several of the drinks, and multiple different dishes. Every single thing was absolutely fabulous. Well worth the hour drive The chicken was delicious. The greens were like I remembered my grandmother’s to be like. And the Big Cheddar was phenomenal. I guarantee we will go back.
Absolutely top notch. Dining room was clean, all the staff was polite, approachable, and informative. All our menu items were fabulous and I could taste completely different flavor profiles in each item. Black eyed peas were amazing and the cornbread was sweet & crumbly just like my grandpa from East Texas used to make. The honey butter was so good it eat Id eat it on an old shoe.We will definitely be back.??
Got straight up robbed today from these guys. Got charged 21$ for a 15$ catfish. Apparently they’re in business with this new delivery app caviar. So they don’t answer the phone if you want to just do pickup, and you have to order thru that garbage app, then they split the money that they charged extra with caviar.I really wish I would have just gotten the 100$ they charged me for three meals and flushed it down the toilet. Mac and cheese is dry and bland-even powdery. Couldn’t eat more than one bite of the collard greens or black eyed peas. I wish the food would have at least been good. Overall worst highlight of my whole year so farAfter reading the reviews I guess I’m the only one that got done dirty. But oh well makes me feel worse if anything. Pics for evidence. 90$ for three plates
As a chef from North Carolina I have to say Best Catfish I have had! Spiced Corn and Fries were great accompaniments and Boss Sauce is the best, I even used with my fries! When I first saw the Cornbread I thought it was a lemon pound cake, and could definitely be eaten as a dessert! I look forward to trying other dishes in the future. Thank you for bringing the South to Utah!
The food is so good, Guy Fieri featured it last year on his show. This place is well worth a little detour off I-15. It has all the staples you’d expect from Southern cuisine: fried chicken, catfish, grits, and even cornbread slice so big I usually end up taking it home.I must confess last time the cornbread was a bit too dry for my taste, but the grits with shrimp and bacon was superb as always. We were lucky enough to enjoy the catfish shipment that had just arrived and was fried to perfection.Thank you Chef Julius Thompson for bringing real Southern cuisine to Salt Lake City!P.S.: Expect spending around $30 pp.
AMAZING FOOD! Everything was bursting with flavor and home-cooked goodness. I ordered the catfish and husband ordered fried chicken.
