The Heavenly Hot Cakes are famous for a reason. Very, very good. I also tried the corned beef hash and it was good. I didn’t realize the potatoes in the hash were grated and aren’t my thing, which isn’t to say others won’t like them. The portions were large and the prices were reasonable, lower than I expected. I will be going back to try other dishes.
I had a very good experience going here this morning! I got a breakfast sandwich with ham and an over easy egg. I also got a side of French toast. I got so excited about the sandwich that I forgot to take a picture of it. My son shared the side of French toast with me and he loved it! The staff was super nice and they were quick to give us our food.
Staff didn’t check on me me once the entire time after I ordered. I would’ve liked to have more water with my meal and condiments. Ended up asking for the check from some girls chatting behind the bar counter.Other than that, the food was delicious. I got the veggie wrap, sweet potato fries and a scone. It was all excellent and I was so pleasantly surprised to see a vegetarian option!
We came here for breakfast this morning and only had a 10-12 minute wait for a table. The whole menu looked great but I kinda kept it in check by going for the Big Breakfast = 2 eggs, 1 sausage, 1 strip of bacon, 1 slice of Ham, homestyle potatoes (just salted right), toast and 2 of their signature Pancakes. I believe the cost of this was like $7 which seemed like a deal!!So all in all, their Pancakes didn't disappoint and bonus for having Strawberry syrup besides the Maple! The miss on this was their bacon. It was waaaay to crispy to the point of when you take one bite, it fell apart. Beyond that, the rest of the plate was amazing!I didn't get a chance to try their coffee as I brought in my own (not by choice!) and wifey did their Short Stack of Cakes. Apparently a short cake order is 5 pancakes!!!! Amazing.Plenty of strip mall parking the staff were super nice! We'd def come back!
Amazing food with an incredible atmosphere! The portion sizes are perfect and the waitress we had was very nice. Can’t wait to go back for another Saturday breakfast!
Workers r friendly n services is amazing, food is delicious n I really love it second time here w my family n I’m from WA
We decided to try Penny Ann’s after reading reviews, and it did not disappoint at all. The stuffed french toast was incredible and so delicious, and was definitely enough to be a meal by itself. However, I’m glad I ordered a side of biscuits and gray as well because they were amazing. The gravy wasn’t too spicy like other restaurants tend to make it, and the biscuits were flaky and soft.My wife ordered the “small” breakfast which was still massive, and she loved the food as well. Every aspect of the meal was cooked to perfection, and the service was spectacular.
We love Penny Ann's! The food is delicious and the people are kind. The hot cakes are a must! I love that they always give me a refill of my drink to go.
So good! I’ve been here multiple times, never had anything I didn’t like! Great place for breakfast or lunch! The pancakes are the best!!
We have eaten at this joint before, and it was usually decent. Our experience today was awful. We came in when the restaurant was winding down (an hour before closing). There weren't all that many people at the restaurant. We ordered our food and waited for probably close to 45 minutes. At some point the waiter told us that the kitchen is taking forever and asked us if we even wanted to wait. I wish we took the hint and left, but we decided that it was worth the wait...Our food finally came. Cold. I don't know about you, but I like my over easy eggs hot or at least warm. My side of French toast was so cold that butter wouldn't even spread on top of it. It seemed like it was just taken out of the fridge. My husband's chicken cordon blue didn't look or taste anything like it and it was also cold.I also ordered a waffle that was brought to the table next to us, sat there for a minute, then it was returned as they didn't order it, then it sat on the table by the kitchen, then finally it was brought to our table. I just ate my disgusting cold eggs and had a taste of a very cold French toast. I didn't want to top it off with a cold waffle that has travelled around the restaurant. When we said that we didn't want that waffle for the mentioned above reasons, our concerns were dismissed by "it was just a minute. Come on!" we were then told that they cannot re-make the waffle for us and that we either take the one they brought or none. We chose none. We then heard our waiter talking trash about us to his work friends, very classy.I understand that it is hard to get good help these days, but this experience was awful. I have never seen anyone treating customers this way. We will not be coming back, and I will make sure that all my friends and family know how awful this place is.
