I usually go to Costa vida, but I decided to come here since Costa video was closed on Sunday. I should have just gone to Taco Bell. I don't know if they didn't drain the beans or the chicken, or both, but my chicken salad was full of water. They added tomatoes and lettuce to my kids' plain cheese quesadillas. Aside from the water in the salad, the chicken had no flavor and the shell was crispy and stale. Never coming here again.
Cafe Rio has jumped the shark, especially the Draper location drive thru. Order a salad and see how little meat they give you. It’s almost like the meat is garnish or something and they fill up the tin with cheap lettuce to save money. This review is after a dozen times feeling cheated and thinking I should write one.
Me and my wife both ordered salads from the Draper location. Approximately 2 hours after finishing our food we both became violently ill and have been experiencing food poisoning symptoms over the last 24 hrs. I highly highly recommend choosing somewhere else to eat if you value the food that you put inside of yourself and your family.
Almost nasty. Had the 2 tacos. Wet and moist. This guy doesn't drain the juice from the salsa. Just dumped a scoop on each one. Didn't finish the second one, by the time I got to it . Picked it up and it falls thru the tortilla. There not all the same, actually never had this problem before.
My order was missing several items (salad toppings that I paid extra for). Included toppings were very light and salad dressing was half full.Much more concerning: the place is filthy. Good on the floor, trash everywhere. The entire pick up area (shelves and ground) was covered with trash, old food, and a supply box recently delivered. The counter had trash on it also, and many of the tables.Cafe Rio is great and I go there often. Will never be back to the Draper location. This place was unsanitary and I threw my food away
By far the worst experience we have had at any Cafe Rio. We ordered the food through the app and scheduled to pick it up 45 minutes later. After picking it up, the food was awful! They must have made it when we ordered and it sat for a while on the shelf. The quesadillas were extremely soggy and all the cheese was not melted. We also ordered a enchilada style chicken burrito. It only had cheese on it and was soggy as well. There was sweet pork all over in it with the chicken. The sauce was not what we ordered. The food was disgusting!!!
Awful customer service! :,) I suggest never using their drive thru. They’ll take your order wrong, not repeat it back to you and give you the wrong food, as well as give you attitude when you return to have your food corrected.Next time I know if it’s Sunday and I’m craving sweet pork, it’ll be worth the wait for Costa Vida to open back up on Monday <3
The service was AWFUL. I asked for a niño quesadilla for my toddler and the employee rolled her eyes at me and acted like I was really putting her out. Also, the food here is not fresh. To my surprise, when they went to refill the sweet pork, they cut open and poured a bag of it into the container… and they don’t cook the tortillas to order either. They use cold pre-cooked tortillas they have sitting out. Makes me sad because cafe rio used to be the best 10 years ago.
I was going to give this 2 stars simply because the girl at the drive through was pleasant. But, the food is honestly so bad I can't. A smothered burrito at $11 should not rival my dog's kibble in dryness. Then there's the fact 2/3 of the ingredients were missing like a ship in the Bermuda triangle. Sauce? Nah. Beans? Nope. Rice? Don't think so. Here's your bland pork of questionable origin and tortilla with a sprinkle of cheese. Enjoy the small garden of soggy shredded lettuce though! The owner can pass on replying, I've seen enough of the reviews below to know nothing has been or will be implemented to correct these constantly bad experiences. Go somewhere else or give the money to charity instead of lighting it on fire here.
Talk about a sloppy burrito! Shows how much care they put into the food. The employees are probably overworked, underpaid, and understaffed.
