Really friendly service and nice ambiance. We had a burger and a sandwich with homemade chips, and everything was good, would definitely come here again!
I have always loved coming here for lunch. I've gone in long enough to see its changes over the years, and it's gone from a tavern feel, to one that is more "homey" and brighter visually.Everything I've gotten here has generally been fantastic. Although it isn't here currently from what I've seen, their veggie burger is BOMB and current options like their salads are delicious. Others with me who had sandwiches said they enjoyed their meal as well. Some of their bakery options like their carrot cake were moist and yummy, but still left me with more to be desired, especially with how expensive those can be.Overall, a great place to go with friends and family and eat some food that makes you feel happy inside.
Super disappointed. I use to come to pastry pub all the time I had heard the ownership had changed and was a little hesitant to go but decided to give it a try for myself. This was the first time I had been to the restaurant and it was not busy and I’m sure I now know why. The prices have almost doubled and the portion sizes have gotten smaller. The pesto sauce is now gone. The herb sauce is not the same. The croissants used to be so fresh and flaky now they are dense, old, and taste store bought. My sandwich had almost no meat, a very small piece of thin lettuce and about two slices of the thinnest cuts of onion. My salad was not the same and definitely was not the same quality ingredients that were once used. About $15 for half a sandwich with little inside and a small half salad it was just not it. I’m confused why they would keep the name of a city favorite and make so many changes to the menu, ingredients, quality, and especially at a higher price point. I’m sure the new owners are lovely people and I wouldn’t have even left a poor review if they were a whole new restaurant with a different name, but unfortunately I now understand why so many people have said they won’t be back.
My wife misses the old pastry pub, but I like the new incarnation much more. They served a 7 course dinner for Valentines that I sadly missed out on. So far I have only had a pastrami burger, but it was delicious.
Good place. I had a southwest breakfast burrito with ham. It was great. Atmosphere is good as well. Locals hanging out on the front patio. Place is clean. Employees are friendly. Can't wait to try it again next time I come through.
Fantastic Sandwiches & Salads We stopped in for a late meal and we were very pleased with this local establishment. Had the Pub Club and Southwestern Salad. Both were excellent and the service was really good. I would recommend this place for a lunch or light supper.
Great little hole in the wall. Salads are a nice size and sandwiches are great. Beer and Wine are served if desired. Just a cool little place with good food.
The food was amazing. I had the pastrami burger (which was phenomenal) and my wife had the chipotle sandwich, which she really enjoyed. Unfortunately the service left us a little disappointed. My wife’s sandwich sat on the counter ready to be served for 10-15 minutes, and was obviously forgotten. When I went up to ask if it were hers, I was told “I was getting ready to get it if it is hers”. I felt like it was a reasonable question as there was nobody ordering, and everyone else in the restaurant had been served. When she did finally bring it, she put it on the table without a word, it made us feel like a burden. Maybe she is just having a rough day. We will definitely be back for the food, I just hope the service is as good as the food next time.
We stopped in after googling for a great salad. We were not disappointed. The salads were fresh presented beautifully in a large bowl that was full. I got the Bar-B-Q salad and my girl friend got the Cobb. Both were very tasty. The staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. Eating areas and restrooms very clean. We went back for breakfast. And stopped again for lunch a week later. Loved this place you got to check it out.
We went here for lunch to celebrate my birthday today. I ordered the same sandwich I’ve been getting for years that I LOVE (Italian club)… but today it was terrible. The whole sandwich tasted like balsamic vinegar, I couldn’t taste anything else. I wish I had taken it back. They must have changed the recipe when they got new owners last year. My husbands sandwich was good (pub club)
