Under staffed, told us 30 min wait, ended up to be a 60 min wait. Not worth the wait.
We came after 2:00 (closes at 3:00) and had a great first time experience. We’re seated quickly, given great recommendations to try the limeades and food. Ordered two meals, split them and enjoyed both. The orange raspberry limeade was so good! Definitely will be back to try the sweet dessert biscuits. Maddi was our server. She was quick, efficient, and very kind. Great customer service
We came here and I wasn’t super hungry because I just ate. Having said that I think this place is good. The biggest thing is price. A lot of things are pretty over priced like $7 lemonades. That was kind of a tough pill to swallow really. We shared a hoss which was good but at $16 I think it was just ok. Servers were nice and friendly. I’m a big fan of super Chix which is 40 steps away from here so if I had the choice again I would just go to super Chix and spend less.
The good: food was delicious. We got the HOSS and it was super filling! It has a very light heat kick. Our server, Nathaniel, was very kind, fast and attentive. We loved the atmosphere...indoor and outdoor dining, Cornhole game outside and fun decor. The OK: the prices seemed a bit outrageous. We paid $7 for a limeade that was just ok. It was suuuuper sugary & tart. Each sip was grainy. Not my kind of thing. Paid $50+ for two biscuit plates and one drink. We loved the food but couldn't justify regular visits for the price. We'll make this a twice a year spot.
Extremely overpriced. For a few bucks more you can have all you can eat brunch at Laurel Brasserie at Grand America in Salt Lake with class, style and excellent service. At Sweet Lake: You pay $70 for two people to sit at this small box restaurant, extremely loud with no acoustics. I could hear every sound coming from the kitchen machines. No buss-boy, no coffee refills and the waiter took a while to take our orders. I have worked in restaurants before so I could tell they were understaffed and stressed. I hope with all that overcharge that they are paying well their staff, but to me doesn’t look like they are well paid because the staff looked stressed. At the Brassiere you have: a nice restaurant, with a host that takes you to the table, a buss-boy constantly refilling your coffee and water and a waiter taking your orders. Plus a band and all you can eat food.Giving two stars because the food was good, but definitely not coming back.
Great experience and yummy flavors. Enjoyed the hoss. Loved the buiscuit Benedict. Loved the Cubano sandwich with a side of loaded hash browns and bbq sauce on the side. Could share the Cubano and Benedict between my wife and I and one kid. Very filling.
Food was good, but not amazing. over priced for what you get, especially $4 black coffee that never gets refilled. Service was subpar, with a waiter making weird jokes before you even knew he was the waiter ? the layout of the restaurant was so weird, almost like they knew they could open the next day and threw a bunch of tables in there randomly. It needs structure. Probably won’t come back but it was fun to try.
Really liked this place! We were seated quickly and we enjoyed how it was sit down but also really casual. The food was really good and the chips were super good! I also loved the raspberry limeade. I wasn't too impressed with the limeade salsa and the prices were pretty steep but still recommend trying this place out! We'll be back!
We went based on recommendations from others. Love a good new brunch place. Overall, I'm underwhelmed. The food was expensive, but really good. The atmosphere was like a High school cafeteria. And the service was slow, and frazzled. I do give a lot of grace to servers during this time though, it's clear they are understaffed, and I get that. Everyone is. But for me, the prices and the food and atmosphere didn't match up. I don't mind paying more for locally sourced food, fresh made, etc. But if I'm paying more I want to enjoy my time at brunch.
This is the first time I've been to Sweet Lake. I'm a Huge!!! Biscuits & Gravy fan and was not disappointed with Sweet Lake biscuits & gravy. My son enjoyed the hoss. Sweet Lake was referred to me and I'm referring it to you all. This was the first but not the last visit to Sweet Lake.
