Really good Mexican tacos, gringas, quesadillas and burritos. They had a huge selection of meats and my favorite is cabeza. We ordered a mix of items they serve and all we super good. All of their salsas were perfect. The best one was their habanero pineapple salsa. A great flavor mix and it combined perfectly with everything. They make fresh aguas frescas which is a great indicator that if they make their own drinks from scratch that the restaurant is taking the time for good food. Will be back.
The place is great, the prices are good and the staff are always friendly. The one thing I’d mention is that I think their air conditioning is broken or doesn’t exist because it’s hot inside. I thought about taking off a star but the other qualities of the place didn’t merit a subtraction. They also have a cooler of ice cream so the kids are happy about that.
Tacos are fantastic. Lots of seating at this location. Clean place. Workers are very nice
We stopped in for lunch and loved everything we ordered! It was my husband , 2 daughters ages 11 and 13, and myself! We each ordered different tacos, and everybody loved them. I wish they had a couple of other locations near the rest of the places we visited. I really enjoyed the toppings bar after getting my tacos! My 11yo wants to return just for tacos!
I love this place, the tacos are super good and I never have to wait long for my food, I love the spices and flavors of the meat. It's always clean and great for a quick bite. We come as often as we can on Tuesdays for their amazing taco deals. They've got really good deals during the week too, definitely worth it to get food from here even if you're in a hurry.
Beware the pineapple habanero salsa. It's hot hot hot. Wife and I very much enjoyed the Combo Bigiton (2 carnitas & 2 El pastor tacos).
I love Don Joaquin’s Taco Tuesday. Their street tacos are good quality, cheap, and authentic. The salsa bar has a great variety of salsas and toppings. The restaurant was clean and the staff friendly!
Don Joaquin is my fav authentic tacos/burritos place in UT Valley. The only thing is I feel like the Provo location tastes better. I've been to both enough times and the meat always tastes better at the Provo location.
First time visiting and I will definitely be coming back! My husband came by Don Joaquin's a few days ago and couldn't stop raving about it so I decided to join him there for lunch today.... let me tell you that I am so glad that I did! The restaurant is spacious, clean and they have some freezers with Popsicles, paletas and ice cream bars and fried doraditos by the ordering station. Menu is simple but sometimes that all you need right? I got the gringa combo, which has 3 tacos (al pastor, chicken and asada) with a drink and my husband got an asada burrito with a side of rice. I also got a slice of strawberry tres leches cake which was stellar! Every single bite was lovely; everything was flavored so well and was fresh! Definitely recommend if you are in the area - you won't be disappointed!
We go out for street tacos all over Utah and this is our favorite sit down location in Utah County
