This is the third time that something like this happened to me in this location! I ordered a to go salad and they literally gave me 1 spoon of sweet pork. I had to take off the salad because I couldn’t believe it. We use to be regulars, but I’m not going back to that place.
The food was great. The soda machine was out of 4 different flavors, but when I reported it, the employee went right to work to fix it, so no issues there. I dropped a star because the bench seating we chose was filthy. Black beans and other mystery material dried all over the seat. I got some napkins wet and scrubbed it until it was acceptable, but my guess from the results of my effort were that they hadn't washed the seats in a few weeks, at least. The tables were clean, but they need to think about the seating as well.
We came in 45 min before closing on a Sunday. There were two tables when we got there and 3 pick up orders that I could see on the line. I had to repeat my order 6 times. Waited for more tortillas to be made for one more salad and two kids grilled chicken salads. They finally remembered about my last salad after helping the person behind me. They forgot I was also waiting for the kids chicken quesadillas. They forgot the chicken on the kids quesadillas. There was also barely any cheese. It was messy and cringed me out that the counter they were sliding the containers was so dirty and getting the bottoms of each salad container dirty. The floor was wet due to some leak.
So so disappointed today with Cafe Rio American Fork. The 3 ladies that were there today weren't very friendly to begin with and the pork that they put in my burrito and tostada is nothing! A pinch of their serving tongs! Measly! Not the regular generous serving! For as big as a burrito all you can taste is the rice and beans! It's more of a rice and beans burrito instead of pork burrito! Cafe Rio needs to be more generous with their meat serving!
As a family we love Cafe Rio but cleanliness is not good at this location. Please make sure you guys are running clean restaurant especially when the Covid around!
This Cafe Rio is an abomination. I ordered a dozen tortillas to take home so that we could make Café Rio size burritos. This is how big they were. I didn’t see them until I got home.Do you think this is what they make their burritos out of? Obviously not. Every experience in this Cafe Rio has been bad, from tiny meat portions after paying for “extra meat,“, and now this. This is just ridiculous. How can you honestly charge people for full-size tortillas if this is what you are giving out?

Cafe Rio is a chain of Mexican food stores that has your typical options of tacis, burritos, salads and more. Their claim to fame is their sweet pork and their cilantro lime dressing. The staff here are really friendly, but this store always has an insane line. Everything is made fresh which is great, but place a mobile order and save yourself 20 minutes (plus get rewards).
Every time I’ve ordered through DoorDash/online they get it wrong. Whether it’s for lunch or dinner…super upsetting because I love me some Cafe Rio, but after this last online order being wrong (again) I’m gona have to change my loyalty to Costa Vida.
I have no words for the mess here tonight. Food all over the floor, tables filthy. We had a pick up order and waited an hour for it to be ready (to be expected on a busy night) but we waited another thirty minutes once there.. customers were upset with the Chaos because everything was a mess….and the employees were very argumentative. A door dash worker walked out because they couldn’t find the order and no one cared to help her. Our tres leeches spilled and one of the styrofoam containers broke. The whipped cream? Looks horrible. No strawberries again. The meat was just one huge fatty clump. We won’t visit this location again.
