We decided we wanted breakfast for dinner so stopped on Black Bear. It was delicious. I had the Country Fried Benedict and it was delicious.
My experience really deserves a 1 star review but it was all the waitresses problem. The Food was great and the place nice.We came in around 7:00 with a little rush. We ordered our food and then waited about 40 minutes until our Waitress came back. She asked us if we wanted the bill before we got our food. We told her we hadn't got our food yet and Her response was, "oh I'm so sorry I'll go check on that". It was so obvious that we didn't have our food because there were no plates on the table.During our whole stay No refills for water were offered. Our Salads and Soups never came out until all of the food was ready. The Salad that my mom got came with a dressing and she didn't get it until after she ate the salad. We had to tell the waitress 3 times about one order! Another order was messed up so we had to wait for it to get cooked. My little sister got a cheeseburger which was undercooked and very bloody. She got halfway through it until she noticed because she was so hungry. We had them remake hers and get it to go because we couldn't wait. Thanks for the generosity of the cook who came out and talked with us, we received 3 free meals to compensate for the problems. This did help a little bit.
One of the best prime rib steaks I've ever had- for half the price of a more expensive restaurant. Our server Robin was great! Meal portions were huge- I was able to save half of it for lunch the next day. We've eaten at Black Bear Diner for breakfast several times and now we love it for dinner as well! Our booth was a little dirty & needed a good cleaning but the food was excellent.
Great service, food was warm a great taste, served as requested., employees were very friendly and professional, kudos to everyone!!!
Great food. Huge servings! Biscuits could have used more gravy. But the service was excellent and fast!
Thank you for an Amazing Friday night. The food was so good and the Customer Service was so great!!! We felt so special and even though it was busy , we never waited for anything. Thanks again.
We had good service, we did have a 35-40 minute wait and it took a moment for our waitress to come back to us every now and then because of shortage of staff caused her to be on opposite ends of the diner. My only huge problem was the discovery of a hair in my food. Which was quickly taken care of and replaced promptly with a new plate that I ordered.
We used to love this location and would come a lot but it seemed to loose its touch, the service and food seemed to go downhill but after a while we thought we would give it another try. It was better than some of our past experiences, so it seems that things may be getting good again. Our server was nice and attentive and the food was okay. The fresh squeezed orange juice is always yummy, but it was warm this time which was a little off-putting. The best item we got were the pancakes, warm, soft and like cake. If you're looking for a lot of okay food at a good price, it's a good place with a cute, fun atmosphere. I still would probably recommend their competitor, OPH, instead though.
I don't ever remember chicken fried steaks being so small. That being said, everything tasted perfectly fine. The marionberry jam was super good on my muffin and the Papa Burn hot sauce made my red potatoes very flavorful. The server was busy, but still attentive.
SuperherosWent with a party of six and we didn't know that night they were going to close early. We stayed until after they were closed and they stayed very calm and were super friendly. Even short staffed everywhere they were willing to take us and the food was amazing!Definitely worth the home atmosphere and grateful for those who keep buisness running right now 9/10 rating?
