Wylie’s best kept secret ?. Discovered this little gem ? a few days ago and have been coming back almost daily. The food ? here is decadent and comforting. ? the 1/4 chicken and brisket plate. The twice baked potato is amazing. Pro tip: heat it back up in your air fryer to make it even crispier and chewier. The enchiladas are equally yummy ? and yet seem very simple and flavorful. Ate the turkey ? plate tonight and it was like I was eating a traditional Thanksgiving meal. The ranchero beans also had a nice kick . What do you guys put in your food?! Everything is consistently delicious and feels like home. ?
This place is sooooooo good!!! I love it so much! The Mexican corn is my absolute favorite, but you can't forget the amazing chicken and brisket. Seriously, if you want to fill your belly and give your visitors from out of town a taste of what Texas is all about, then go here! It is 100% amazeballs delicious and I've got nothing but good things to say about it from start to finish. So good!!!!!
I tried not to have high expectations for my first visit. I was excited to try the grilled brocolli and baked mac-n-cheeese. I received my food shortly after I ordered. They do have a good selection of beverages. I bought my food to go, $14.71 for (dark) 3pc and a soda with 2 sides. Unfortunately the chicken was a bit overdone, skin was like jerky, and the dark meat was dry (for m liking.) I thought the Grilled Brocolli was undercooked, super crunchy, not much of a grill taste. The baked mac was a typical mac-n-cheese. I would definately try it again as the potential is there, as there is a variety of menu items that look apetizing.
This day my Bro and I went to go fly drones ar the park on lunch break. We worked up a pretty big appetite for only moving a few feet lol. We were otw home and decided to stop by for some rotisserie chicken and twiced backed potatoes. Love how the chicken is roasted for 2 hours! Makes the meat so tender and literally falls on the bone! Always a fan of low and slow concepts ! Lady who took our order was super caring too. Brought us napkins and cleanded up after us! She def needs a raise and maybe a knee brace ;)
1st visit to this location as others are much closer to home. But we needed a short road trip on very cold windy day in Collin County. We were not disappointed to make the drive here. Inspired we tried the brisket special as we had a free entree meal coupon so be sure to join their loyalty club. Plenty of food see photos so we got leftovers. Choice of dessert and we got peach cobbler with ice cream yummy.
Marginally different but not distinguishing by general standards. Perhaps the fast food angle cramps the style to offer a more appreciative tingle to the palate.
Despite having some of, if not the best, rotisserie chicken around, Cowboy Chicken has stopped carrying the fried okra, one of the only sides my dairy-allergy family can actually eat that is a vegetable. Other than that we only get french fries (empty carbs) or some spicy japaleno bean thing. No thanks. We absolutely hate to stop eating here, but we have to. Sorry that this poor business choice has lost you a customer, because your chicken is actually out of this world.
Unfortunately, it is the experience, that I must give this review. I have eaten consistently at Cowboy Chicken for some time now. The food in the restaurant has been consistently good.HOWEVER, I ordered 2 whole turkeys for the thanksgiving holiday this year. They were very overcooked, dry and in some places rock hard, both turkeys. I sent an email to the customer service and received the automatic email saying they had received and would respond shortly. 8 days later still no response.I am extremely disappointed in the lack of response. I did not ask for anything back, I did not ask for discounts, the only thing I expected was a response saying that they were sorry and would look into the issues.Due to the lack of customer service or courtesy, I will not be returning to Cowboy Chicken, anytime in the near future.I would also recommend for holiday feast, go anywhere but here for your turkey, if you want to be able to chew it.
Great meal Brisket combo plate. Side was the Ranchero beans done well. A must is the jiffy corn. My gosh it’s great. Again the rolls are way over cooked and Always bad.
Yummy lunch. I ordered a serving of Brisket to go with my Crispy Trail Boss chicken sandwich with a side of brocolli. The brisket was good.Note: Sometimes I have found chicken bone in my chicken breast sandwich, so I always check before digging in. I live their Iced Tea too!
