First off, the restaurant was not busy as it was 5:15pm when we showed up, so we were seated right away. However, it took over 10 minutes to order drinks, and another 10+ to get them. Cornbread is no longer offered at the beginning of the meal, only rolls. Cornbread is now an appetizer. The hummingbird cake is still on the menu, but is no longer offered. Our table was not cleaned properly before we were seated. So, all in all, I was not impressed. I've been to this Cotton Patch many times before, and have never had this bad of an experience. Maybe it's under new management?

I came to visit Cotton Patch Cafe in Wylie TX forFirst time and everything was excellent, Food / service. Staff was very friendly. I highly recommend this place, The Fried Brisket was amazing. Despite them being Short staff, I was able to see the GM performing her Best / Great Leadership I saw her Helping out the crew. Great Teamwork!!!Very Hard working people working in this location. This staff keeps this place open. keep up the great Work !!April was the Best!!!

We went to this place not long after it first opened and both the service and the food was sub-standard. Well, not much has changed. Still poorly managed but I would say that the food was better this time. My Sautéed Mushrooms were very good and the Sweet Potato fries were served hot. My steak (9oz Sirloin) was far from very rare and I had to have them cook me another which took forever, but when I got it, it was very rare and the cut of meat was above average. The service still left a lot to be desired and clearly the rest of the place still needs work. Bottom line is any establishment is only as good as its management! I have an inside track and I hear in this case the ownership has something to do with the poor management. In any case, the food is pretty good depending on what you order. Thanks and Good Eats,Jack.

Stopped here for lunch. The staff was friendly and the place clean and bright. It was not busy and my server, Ava was over right away. They serve comfort foods that are a little different. I ordered the Brisket Tacos and they were very really good. I would recommend you try the Cotton Patch Cafe next time you're in the neighborhood. Thanks Eva and keep up the good work!

Service was amazing. Food was piping hot when we got it. Tasted Great too. Just a good experience.

Ordered dinner for curbside pick up. When we got there we sat for six minutes and the time that the order was supposed to be ready was not brought out and there were bags sitting on the counter inside the restaurant we could see so went inside to ask if our order was ready and had been sitting there quite a while apparently because our food was cold most of it and the cold item the ice cream for the peach cobbler was not included. We got no straw no silverware and the person inside the restaurant was not very in much of a hurry to do anything when I went back in to ask for the missing ice cream so all in all it was a bad experience and I won’t be back to Cotton patch for carry out!

Showed up about 40 minutes after I ordered. 95% of my order was wrong. Tons of people waiting, not a single person standing at the register to help. Was finally able to get someone’s attention to get my order fixed. Waited about 20-25 minutes before I asked about it. She then asked what was wrong ??‍♀️ then she told the manager there wasn’t a ticket on my bag when I handed it back to her (there was) and he had to come help Me. Almost 35 minutes after I alerted them of the wrong order, they finally wrote down my order to remake it. Then waited another 15 or so minutes. All in all, I was waiting there for over an hour and it took 2 hours from the moment I ordered my food to finally get it. Absolutely ridiculous.

Chicken fried brisket was amazing. The service was slow to start. I waited 10 minutes to be seated in a almost empty restaurant, but once I got seated it improved. The food was good and my server was amazing.

Ordered pick up from here. While my food was ready at thr time specified and i was even 5 minutes early, it was horrible. They gave me a piece of frozen peach cobbler that had not been baked! I got fried okra and i counted it was 13 pieces. The patty melt was dry, hardly any sauce and the meat was burnt. And we asked for a loaded baked potato and they placed the toppings but no potatoes and gave an apple juice. I didnt bother to go back because i now understand why the parking lot is never full. Ill also complain to corporate.

Very disappointed of them today.Paid almost $32 and this is what I received.I ordered 2 bowls of chicken and dumplings and received this. The salmon plate I received is nothing like what the menu shows. ?
