Pretty cool place. Fast service and a great place to meet with friends in the morning. I'm not really a breakfast person, but my 3 mates that were there with me were not overly impressed, so it seems to be about average. I had French toast and sausage links. The French toast was OK, but I've definitely had better. The sausage was a little over cooked and honestly a little cold. But the atmosphere is great and I still ate it all, so it wasn't too bad. I'd probably come back again and try something else to form a solid opinion, but this visit pretty much met expectations.

Would be 5 stars because the service, food, and waitresses are great but I constantly hear the cooks Chris specifically, disrespecting the waitresses in front of the whole restaurant and this has happened multiple times. I don’t like to see grown men disrespecting and belittling young women, it’s not hard to just be nice.
This place is definitely an amazing gem of downtown wylie. From the service to the ambience, everything has love in it. We love coming here for breakfast or brunch whenever we can!We’ve tried a lot of their breakfast like the steak and eggs, country fried steak with eggs, the two egg platter, French toast. All of these are served with variety of sides to choose from. We’ve also had the regular menu like the patty melt sandwich, chicken fried chicken, chicken ranchero. We love getting their gumbo and onion rings as sides! Those are so good!
Really delicious food. Our total today came out a little over 43 for 2 adults and 2 kids. We ordered a kids meal with 2 corn dogs. (One was a little over cooked so he did not want it.) And some fries. A big boy which was the full pound burger with 2 patties. It also came with fries. And I ordered the full breakfast plate with turkey sausages, hash browns, one egg over easy, and a couple biscuits with gravy. My infant had a side of mashed potatoes. For dessert, 2 chocolate pies.The hash browns were a little bland. Got cold fast. I liked the gravy. The egg was cooked well. My 3 year old son ate an entire corn dog and he rarely ever eats the whole thing. My infant loved the mashed potatoes, cleaned the plate too. Everyone loved the pies. They're a little on the sweet side, but definitely should try them regardless. I tried the beef off my roommates burger and it was flavorful and juicy. The fries were nice and hot.I like the fact that they made room for us and allowed us to park our stroller in the room off to the side so my son could eat with us. And the incorporated crayons and coloring pages for my other son. The waitress was really sweet and attentive. It felt very homey and comfortable there despite the mass crowd. Will definitely come again to try something else.
Really enjoyed this experience. The fries are great as was the huge hamburger. They have home made pies.. coconut cream is yum. Server was very personable and ut has the old dinner atmosphere that's so nostalgic! Can't wait to go back and try the chicken fried and salad.
I love Ballard Street! Everyone is so nice and caring and great service. The food is delicious and I crave it almost every weekend (the breakfast plate is a fave). Anytime someone comes to visit I have to take them here. So much love for this place!
Haven't been to this town staple in forever. Had breakfast here this week and let me just say it was soo good. The cook, Mason, know what he's doing and this is one of the few places I order over easy eggs and they actually come out over easy and not runny and undercooked.Our waitress, Cory, was an absolute peach! She was so sweet, answered my questions, very attentive and never let a glass get halfway empty once. She is the BEST and an asset to the Ballard Street Cafe.It's been years since our last visit but we will now be coming back as regulars with our family because eating here is like going home to your Nana's for a good Sunday dinner. Keep up the great work y'all!
Every time I have a chance to eat in Wylie, this is my go-to place. The staff is incredible and their food is amazing. Took a large group of clients to eat there earlier this week and they absolutely loved it. Great job guys! Keep it up!!!
The restaurant is fantastic and roomy, the menu was enchanting and the rates were very affordable. quick, efficient service and very amiable staff. I recommend this place.
Friendly, fast service. Delicious food. Would definitely visit again next time we are in the area!
