This restaurant has reasonably good reviews and was close to our hotel, so we stopped in to check it out. The interior looks nice and trendy, reasonably clean, and at the time of our visit, not too busy. Although I can see it getting noisy at busy times. But there are TVs on just about every wall and a lot of them. The food was overall good, with an exception. The chicken wrap wasn't good, to the point where I couldn't eat it. The chicken was tough and chewy. The helpful waitress took that off the bill, so I won't hold that against them. Fortunately, the salad I had was large (and tasty) enough so that it was enough for my current appetite. The brisket fries and shake were also quite tasty, which is probably the type of food you should probably be ordering at a restaurant such as this.Overall, it was a good place to stop by, and I'd probably check it out again when in the area.
We were in Wichita Falls for the night returning home from our vacation. Young lady at hotel said the Parkway Grill was one of her favorite places to eat. I got the patty melt with onion rings. Both were delicious. Husband got taco basket. Great tacos. Food was delicious. Waitress was not very friendly. We loved our food and would definitely return.
We were there the day before Mother's day and it also happened to be Graduation for Midwestern State University. Needless to say they were BUSY! However we were seated in a timely manner and service was prompt, I believe her name was Kaley. She was very personable and knowledgeable even though I could tell she was busy, excellent! The food here has always been very good, hand made and detailed when there didn't HAVE to. I really appreciate that fact, anyplace can take something out of a package and reheat it, that is not the case here. Fried Zucchini and Mushrooms that are hand battered and fried correctly (yes there is a way to fry incorrectly) hand made mozzarella sticks that are a show stopper! The fair is Americana so Burgers and Chicken Fried Steaks and so much more!! Oh and by the way I personally challenge you to finish a meal here.. it is damn near impossible because of portion size. All in all its a must try bring your appetite and stay a while there beer is super cold and it's just a fun time!
Food here is always great and offered by freindly staff and a relaxed environment.I love the patty melt here is on Rye and the zuchini fries are the best .
My wife and I are staying the night as we pass through Wichita Falls and picked this spot to have dinner at. So we ordered the fried pickles, and hands down the best fried pickles we’ve tried. They’re perfectly battered (not heavy) and the batter uses little to no salt. Most places we’ve had them at use salt in the batter and make them salty AF to where I can’t wear my wedding band and l ride bachelor until the next day.I ordered the chicken tenders, which were amazing and a HUGE portion. Don’t get fooled when it says (4 tenders), they make up a huge chicken fried chicken lol. Perfectly battered and just great with the country gravy. My wife ordered the Parkway Classic burger with a side salad and it was tasty AF. The salad is large and not your typical “burger trimmings” salad some places do. I sure appreciated the large size because that meant I can have some of it too!We sat at the bar, and the bartender, Mary, was amazing. She took great care of us with our drinks and food, we couldn’t have asked for a better first time experience ??
We’ve driven by so many times and always see a packed parking lot, so tonight we ventured out to find out why. The Parkway Grill did not disappoint. The atmosphere was cozy, friendly and welcoming. Our server, Tia, was attentive and intuitive, knowing what we needed before we even asked. The food was fresh, and delicious! We understand now why they are always packed, they deliver on every point! Well worth the visit and the prices won’t break your wallet!
The wife and I had the chicken fried steak. My son had The Ultimate (hot dog). It was all pretty good, but a bit pricey in my estimation. I've had just as good (if not better) for significantly less. Service was very good and the restaraunt was mostly clean (more than a few tables had yet to be cleaned). There are also TVs EVERYWHERE with a variety of sports broadcasts displayed. I am not a sports fanatic but I understand the draw. My only real gripe was with their seasoned fries...the seasoning made them taste like Lay's BBQ potato chips. Not something I particularly want my fries to taste like. The food was hot, and the chicken fried steak was great. As a side note, you can get the fries unseasoned, but had no idea at the time I ordered that they were going to come like that.
Food was pretty decent. I went there because the cheese sticks were quite famous amongst the staff at MSU. They were right! Huge compared to most other places. Service was a little slow but it was lunch rush so kind of expected. Facilities were clean and ready to go. Overall not too bad! I would definitely go again.
The place has a lot to offer for a quick bite. The prices are reasonable but the portions are large. I ordered the wrap chicken sandwich, pull pork nachos and fried cheese (mozzarella sticks). Everything was good and served quickly. Our server Kaki was great and always making sure we were okay. Plenty of flat screens TVs to watch games. The decor is pure American with a good selection of beers. I stopped by by the recommendation of a local and he was right. This place is a hidden gem.
I haven't been to Parkway since I was in college at MSU, but what an experience it was. My nachos were served hot and fresh, and the portions are off the chain! The cheese sticks were beyond amazing, and our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable! I can't wait to go back again!!
