If for some reason you end up in Downtown Wichita Falls, look no further. Best chicken fried Steak I have had. Everything else looked great as well. Chicken and waffles, fish and chips, Philly cheese steak and salads.

My friend and I stopped here on our way back to Dallas. Our server was incredibly accommodating in trying to get us our food quickly so we could make good time on our way back home. We both ordered the stuffed chicken. They delivered the food ahead of schedule (the menu states an 18 minute wait) and the chicken was delicious. The vegetables and rice were okay, but the chicken was the star. Thanks for a good dinner and a great customer service experience!

Food was very good. Service was not. This makes it hard to want to go back. Wings and Mac and cheese were great. Server took forever to come back to take our order (restaurant was not that busy and there were multiple servers) dropped food off, order was wrong, but she never came back to check on us. Had to ask another server for sauce and ketchup. Then she dropped the bill, waited like 15 minutes for her to cash us out. Good service is what makes or breaks a restaurant for my husband and I, definitely will specifically ask for another server next time.

Average on the food. Fries came out fast and were room temperature at most. Be prepared for a mouth full of salt. Had the Alaskan salmon for meal. The fish was decent and not dry which is a plus. The veg and rice on the other hand was hardly seasoned and less than room temperature. So....what gives this place a 3 star was the service and great drinks.Bartender was on point and very helpful. The drinks seemed full and never felt like was being skimpy. Very good flavor on cocktails. Maybe we came on a off night. Willing to give it another try but more cautious next time.

Went with my mom for a late mother's day experience. Each cocktail I ordered was wrong and our server had said that "that's just how ours come". I tried to order a drink at the bar while paying cash the bartender told me I couldn't I had to order with my server. Ordered a Cesar side salad, all of the lettuce was brown. She did get me a new one. I also watched the same server down a drink at their pos station. And we waited a long time for service and for our new drinks. I ordered an old fashioned with Jameson and just received a shot of Jameson. We used to love the highlander for good cocktails and atmospheric conversations within our table. It definitely wasn't worth the money.

Food & atmosphere were great! I do wish our server was a little more informative about a few things we ordered but it wasn’t anything that changed our experience. Their chicken & waffles is anything but basic. The orange whiskey maple syrup that is served with is delicious & ties it together. If you’re a cheese stick lover, get the mozzarella logs!

Ordered for pickup at around 9pm, they said it’d be about 30 min till we can pick it up. Got there at 9:40 still wasn’t done and had to wait an additional 30 min. We ordered the “famous” macaroni….it didn’t taste good to me at all. Tasted like something burned and had no flavor. I ordered a burger well done and it’s pretty much raw still. The fries were soggy. First time trying it and was not worth the time or money for this order. 1 star at most.

It’s St. Patty’s Day so where else can we go in WFTX but to the Highlander? On top of the typical March 17 shenanigans, today happens to be the 5th anniversary of the Highlander Public House. Happy Birthday!! The food is always great here, with a fun atmosphere in downtown WFTX. The portions are hearty and there is a true Irish flair. My wife was sad to hear that the Buffalo chicken dip had been taken off the menu. It truly is an amazing dish and we hope the boys considers bringing it back. I had the spinach salad and really was happy with the balsamic and pecans. My sons had the stuffed chicken, which he loved, and a steak. My granddaughter, always one to fish in familiar waters, took on the grilled cheese with a side of Mac and cheese (one of the Highlander’s best). I’ve eaten here a half dozen times and haven’t been disappointed. Check it out if your find yourself on North Texas.
