Always excellent food. I know that they are still overcoming our countries shutdown, but would like to see the place open up more for inside dining and buffet. The order pick up is easy, but the dining in is needing the comeback. Maybe just more support from us eaters with the order pickup and the dining in opened a little more now, will get it back to normal. I still give if five stars because it's food and it's staff, is just that good. Author of "last of the knowers," out now, amazon.
As of February 26 there is no buffet. Only items from the menu were provided. I don't know why there are so many negative reviews. I dined in in the afternoon. The server was busy answering phone calls but remained friendly and efficient. The food was properly cooked considering that they didn't charge much. It is a good place if you want some Chinese food.
Only gave 3 stars because my family and I have eaten here before and it was great. Unfortunately our last experience was an nightmare. Empty parking lot, soggy Luke warm food. The food was disgusting this time around. By the end of the night everyone at my house was fighting for the toilet. Had gotten violently ill do to food poisoning.
I came to China star today for dinner and boy was I surprised. Everyone around this area praised it for its high quality food so naturally, I went too sit down and try it out for my self. When I first pulled up I noticed this location had a very run down not well kept, ugly appearance. It looked as if this place had been abandoned for ages. Next I walk in and the only visible waitress had us wait for about 3 minutes before acknowledging us.We were then INSTRUCTED to pick up used old menus that were NOT laminated no professionalism in sight so far, she then says "okay go ahead and sit over there too the right." So not only did she not seat us but told us to just go elsewhere after getting our own menu's. We sit down, another 7 minutes passes she kept telling us "hold on one minute, hold on." So we waited we finally ordered and got out food in 15 minutes. Not bad, what IS bad is how lazy and short staffed this place was, I watched this couple leave here before us and throughout our whole meal that table was never cleaned it was dirty the whole time. The waitress who I now know, is the owner comes out with Two trays with our food on them. Plastic forks, 2 napkins, and our food in Styrofoam containers. The inside of this restaurant is clean, nice traditional mandarin quotes around and an over all nice theme.Moving on too the food, my pork fried Rice was Shiny, SHINY it tasted like vegetable oil and it was absolutely awful. These pot stickers were, if I'd guess too say about 60% fat in total content. The soup was also in a Styrofoam cup. So far awful food complete grease, not hot besides what was fried and so far still no professionalism. We couldn't get tea so we settled for bottled water and sprite. I then stopped her once as she's not checked on us once since serving us our trays like a small school. And I say "Ma'am, may I please have some salt." She says "oh yeah sure." She comes back out after 4 minutes in the kitchen and not a Salt and pepper shaker set in hand, but a PEPPER SALT COMBO packet like at Costco. At this point my mind is blown at how they have 4 stars. The prices were very high for what I received and the story of today is "professionalism". Lacks any professional, waitress had no apron and put thumbs on tray not under tray. Place was dumpy on exterior and food was horrendous. No cleaning of tables and the end cost was 35.50$ for about 2.5 servings of food. If I could give 0 stars I would. I do not expect culinary perfection in the middle of no where North TX, but I DO expect to not have a heart attack after eating here from all the grease.0 stars
this place was my late mom's favorite Chinese place. I'm looking forward to dine in reopening to have a meal in her honour.
Food for my delivery was delicious and is a great value.I order Steamed or Fried Rice with China Star Chicken, and Wantons. It is very good.
Delivery was somewhat fast. Food was moderate to very good depending on what you got, I have eaten there 4 times. Only once we're the spareribs available because they sell put so quick but they were delicious. Thier egg drop soup is also very good.
We loved the buffet, but it wasn't offered last time we stopped.
I super love there orange chicken! can't beat their portion sizes and price.
I wish we can dine in tonight but because of COVID we can’t do it’s a takeout
