Got the biggest table because I can get messy.1st time here It was good, the staff was reeeeally friendly and came around to check on us quite a few times ?Got tenders med and hot get the hot .. not too spicy and nice flavor.Liked the fries but wished I had more(but who doesn't always want more?)the dry rub was not expected but nice. Oooh and the drink ? was niiiice
This place was fun bright wide open and fresh new design. Staff was super friendly and eager to explain who they were and what the concept was all about. Very clean and easy access for all. The food came out quickly looked great and the taste was on point. I would highly recommend the salads and definitely ask for the champagne vinaigrette made the salad pop!! I’m not a fan of fried foods but the chicken strips in the mild we’reNot overly hard and not greasy. The dessert was cool and for those who have a sweet tooth well let’s just say it will totally satisfy. My friend had the chicken with waffle fries she said it was delicious, and she finished the dessert lol
Food is always on point?! The staff and service is awesome. I highly recommend the Rib & Tender Platter that’s my favorite.
First time tonight, everyone on staff was helpful, and polite. 10/10 service. Got the ribs in medium and tenders in Texas hot. loved both. The fries almost stole the show, hands down the perfect size, crispness, and seasoning on them. Definitely will be back, soon.
Great experience!! Ribs fall off the bone and melt in uour mouth. This place seems to feature their chicken as main dish but am glad they had some ribs!! We had the mild hot chicken and it was tasty. Fried just right and still juicy center with crispy outside. You have to get their shack sauce. It reminds me of thousand island dressing and chipotle sauce a little but it works. The top off was the butter scotch ice cream sandwich. Yum yum. Place was super clean and bathroom well maintained.
I came here the last time I visited Houston and was in the Baybrook area. But now I visited again and had to come back. The Dragon Fries are incredibly seasoned and the Ribs are really good as well. It’s very easy to order online and it seems as though dining in has good vibes as well!
Visited The Cookshack for the first time tonight and had one of the best experiences I've had in a while in a restaurant. Since it was my family's first time, Rachel immediately stepped in and took care of us explaining the menu and offering suggestions. She not only explained how the normal dining experience works, but she went out of the way to allow us to stay seated (with my elderly grandmother) and she came out to us to take our order and even refill our drinks. Aside from Rachel, the food was outstanding! We tried each level of the chicken tenders from no heat to Texas Hot and loved them all! All of the sauces were delicious as well, although I enjoyed the tenders without any sauce. We also had the ribs in medium and Texas Hot and I think they were some of the most tender, flavorful ribs I've ever had! We tried the fries, dragon flies, Mac n cheese, Texas caviar and slaw. All were delicious! Highly recommend! I want to again thank Rachel for her superior customer service and for going above and beyond to make our dining experience exceptional!
This is an amazingly tasty fried chicken location on Bay Area, very conveniently located just a bit off of I45. I had the Chicken and Waffles, mild, with a sauce that I can't quite remember, but was pleasantly seasoned. The chicken tenders are exceptionally well battered and juicy, while the waffles were succulent and had a consistently almost of pancakes. The mac and cheese was extremely cheesy and I would definitely recommend it as a side - though I hear great things about the spicy fries as well.
Amazing food even better service! The manager is very nice and people friendly. Everything down to the sauces was perfect. I definitely recommend this place if you haven’t been. 10/10?
Very friendly service at the counter and in the dining room, 1st time in and will be in again. Tried the 3 tender option mild and subtle enough heat for me to try to the next level up on the next visit. Counter ordering with food brought to your table. Staff very attentive. Will be back for sure.
