First time going, never again. We walked in no greeting, dirty plates all over the place, ac wasn’t working. We walked in at 2 and they close at 3. I could tell they were done and wanted to leave. It was just me and my Fiancé for Mother’s Day. We ordered and waited, they gave a large table of 8 their food first, we only ordered what is pictured. They forgot my orange juice, out the 3 girls in front of house and what I assumed was the manager they could pour a glass? All 3 girls were just walking around with their phones out, saying how they wanted to leave. One girl with short bob and plugs sat to roll silverware, the older woman “manager” asked her to pour the juice, young girls just flat out said no, they both giggled like it was as cute. She gave my fiancé a “complementary” juice as if that was going to excuse the laziness. I honestly can’t understand, we tried to enjoy our paid meal but with all variables it was not good at all. Very disappointed and dissatisfied with this whole experience.
My husband and I came here today for breakfast. We do know that this restaurant is pretty much self serve order at the front desk. By the time we sat down and got ourselves our drinks we sat there and watch people as well as take out get serve their order. Thirty minutes went by no food and no explanation. My husband finally grew impatient and went up to ask them and our food order was never placed with the Cook. We got a refund, and ended up going to First Watch. We got quick service, friendly and it actually came out to the same price that we were going to pay at your location. Eggcellence we are so disappointed ?
The FOOD WAS AMAZING !A must try, it’s my second time in Texas & my first time trying this place.I got the Two-Two-Two with stuffed french toast & I ate the whole thing.Along with a freshly squeezed apple juice which I never had before was also really good.The staff is even really nice !
My second time here, and I love it! The wings and waffles hit so hard and are a great choice if you're a brunch person like myself! ? My girlfriend gets the chicken and waffles, which is served fresh and crispy!!
Absolutely amazing!!! The Food is delicious, The presentation is spectacular, and the service is warm and inviting and I felt part of the family. Can't wait to come here again. Love this place!!
Absolutely amazing food and service! The best breakfast I've had in a long time! All of the sauces and sides were hand made and phenomenal. The staff was extremely friendly and catered to our every need.
Best breakfast ?, this place is awesome, very clean and polite, huge thanks to Maria and staff for making my family’s and I the first experience the best, we all have a one chance on something in life and it’s a first impression is something you don’t get a 2nd opportunity, this place nailed it. I would recommend this place to anyone and I’ll be returning here very soon.
Do not recommend. This place is a struggle bus, I’ve been here 4 times. I’ve tried so hard to give them a chance and it’s never gotten better. The first time we waited 45 mins for our food. The second time I ordered one thing and got something completely different, and my friend never got the actual thing he ordered. He got eggs and French toast and hashbrowns but not the thing he actually ordered.And finally I’ve ordered the same thing three times and been served something else twice.-added photo. I’ve seen Eggcellence Cafe & Bakery from Bay Area Blvd when traveling to and from Baybrook for a while now and I wanted to try it but never found the time. Today was the day since we had a little time before the mall opened.We stopped in before the main part of the breakfast rush. They were medium busy but that picked up to very busy while we were eating. I see there are some uneven reviews here and I can understand why. Not every dish may come out perfect. The table next to us had a complaint about hash browns they felt were too well-done. Granted, they had requested “crispy” but felt these were too crispy. It happens.But, the item was taken back, the situation was explained to the cooks, and they promptly and cheerfully provided another serving the customer pronounced “perfect”. This is how it should work.As for us, our orders were exactly right. It was our first time and the manager, Maria, was extremely cordial and welcoming. She explained how the ordering works: grab a menu at the counter, claim a table, decide on an order, come back to the counter to order and pay, then take a number back to your table and your food will be delivered.Food came quickly and was done very well. The presentation and flavor were outstanding. My wife had the 2+2+2 and said it was really good. I opted for the chicken Florentine crepes and they were awesome. I tried them before adding any salt or pepper and they needed nothing additional. Really tasty and fresh.We’re there a few issues, maybe. They had a soda fountain they were attending to because it leaked a little water. The men’s room had a few paper towels someone wasn’t careful about throwing in the trash can. Oh well, they were busy, they were managing while still maintaining a level of service I found to be very welcoming.The food was great, Maria was a sweetheart, and we will be back. I’m sorry I waited so long to try it.If you’d like fresh, delicious food served with a welcoming smile and attentive service, try Eggcellence on Bay Area Blvd.And if something isn’t to your liking, let them know and give them a chance to make you happy. I think they’re doing it right.
Had the biscuits and gravy. Different take on the dish from what I'm used to. Biscuit was flatter and wide, sausage patty on top with gravy over that. Overall pretty good. Good spice on the sausage. Pancakes were phenomenal. Good sweet cream batter. Will definitely return.
