Such a cute historic place! Built in the 1900s. Got a big country bowl of oats. Service is great, mom and pop local. Definitely make a stop here
Stopped at Whistle Hill for lunch. Love their Tomato basil soup, it’s very tasty and served hot. Tried Reuben sandwich and thought the sauerkraut was perfectly prepared, just the right tartness and with the thousand island dressing, rye bread & pastrami, the flavors all went well together and made for a great sandwich. Definitely enjoyed the side salad, it had a mango, balsamic dressing & was refreshing & tasty. Service was friendly, quick & helpful.
The food is even better tasting than it looks on the website! The coffee was fresh and the food was hot. Great place for breakfast! We're planning to come back for lunch sometime soon!
We have eaten here numerous times and have never been disappointed. We've had breakfast and lunch. The breakfasts are outstanding. All cooked to order. Their chicken-fried steaks are absolutely the best, which is hard to do around here for two reasons: first, it is one of the 4 food groups in Texas (gravy is a beverage in Texas and across the South), and second, a lot of restaurants do chicken-fried steaks, so competition is fierce. Highly recommend you stop by for a meal, but come hungry. If you leave hungry,it's your own fault!
I would give this business 6 stars if I could. Beautiful place. Excellent service and food is very good.If travelling through Weatherford, be SURE to have a meal here. Support local and get your money's worth.
We went there today for lunch. We had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. They were totally full. That is a good thing. The wait was well worth it. The food was great. The staff was super. All the ladies worked as a team. We live in Grand Prairie but if we go to Weatherford again we know a great place to eat. Thanks ladies for the wonderful service and wonderful meal.
Service was slow… it took 55 minutes for three people to get food. The waitress who took our order didn’t know their menu. I wanted their chicken fried chicken and pancakes. That’s all the menu stated. When I ordered it, the waitress proceeded to tell me that it’s chicken fried steak “but they’ll make an exception for me”. When we finally got our food, it wasn’t worth the price or wait. Pancakes were dry and the chicken was tough. $56 and a 55 minutes wait later… I will most definitely never recommend this place or step foot in this establishment again.
First time here and amazing food by far! The portion sizes are HUGE!!! Service was great and very well welcomed! We shall be back ?? thank y'all!!
I visited this restaurant about 8 months ago. And I have dreamed of their burger every single night. The most vivid dream that starts off as a wonderful thing and ends in a nightmare, it starts at the round about. I park my car. Walk in and the hamburger is sitting out on the table, a spotlight hitting it, I sit. And right as I’m about to take a bite I wake up. For. 8. Months. I have been waking up salivating at the mouth for one single bite of this burger. Do you know how good of a burger it has to be to DREAM of it!? 10/10. Thank you for your service
First time here, brought out of town guest. We loved it. The pancake was very good, huge!. My guest said it was the best breakfast she'd had in years.
