Unfortunately, the meatloaf was luke warm at best with very little flavor. Completely saturated in "red sauce" that basically tasted like ketchup. Customer adjacent to me sent his back. Nothing worth reporting on the two sides. The sweet tea was good, and the staff was friendly.This was lunch around 1pm..I'll try something for dinner in the distant future. Please have someone routinely check the restroom. It was filthy in addition to an overflowing trash can. Thanks..
The food was outstanding! My smarter 2/3 had a burger with onion rings. I had their sausage and peppers. OMG, both dishes were delectable! The server, a friendly lady with blonde hair, was extremely helpful and conversational. Highly recommend!
I loved it from the minute we walked in. Very, very clean. Ice tea was super cold and sweetened to perfection. I think my favorite part was the buttery mashed potatoes or that my 5 year old cleared her fried catfish plate. Very nice outing.
Surprised to find a restaurant that still offers smoking and non smoking to customers. We happened to be in the area and were hungry so we stopped for breakfast. It was ok. My kids didn't really care for the pancakes. Could see a man eating his food and smoking in the side next to us. We could definitely smell the cigarettes. Other than that the waitress was nice and we didn't have any issues with our order.It wasn't anything special. Just regular home cooked food. Good to see these little places still exist in today's time. I'm sure the older folks really enjoy going as it feels old timey.
I would like to start off by saying I have eaten there alot of time and it was always good. But this time it was just horrible. I ordered the beef fajati salad i was told that it would be stripes it ground up like hamburger meat. The chips I got were no bigger than a quarter.
I have been a customer off and on can since I was 16 years old I worked for Mary when I why in my thirties and she taught me how to make the best catfish ever I cooked for her waited tables for a little over year now I frequent there often to eat as a customer the food is still great the people are so friendly and Mary you have had a good business there for years may you continue feeding your customers the best catfish coleslaw and some of the best pies ever
Marys is great! All the people that are moving in are putting a strain on the business as its the only close place to eat. Used to just be a local and destination stop. All the bad reviews tell me you are from California without telling me you are from California! Eat, drink, be happy that you live on the river! Enjoy the little things!
Two out-of- town diners looking for non-chain restaurant food and atmosphere. This place did not disappoint! Working class, authentic Texan, small town attitude with absolutely delicious home-cooked food delivered by a down home, friendly server. Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, greens, black eyed peas, roll & dessert for less than $8.00. Thanks! This is how vacation memories are made!
The looks of the place isn't impressive. The food is greatness and threw in some free peach cooler at the end to cap it off. Chicken fried steak is freaking huge I ate half and had another meal later. Better chkn fried steak than old Montanas no doubt
Walked in and asked for a table for one. Was told a booth would be ready shortly. Another single person walked in just after me…. After waiting 15-20 minutes and watching 7 other people seat them self’s… I left….
