Might be the best Overall Barbecue place I've ever eaten at. I'm usually upset when A barbecue place doesn't have okra, but the Beans were amazing and the dill potatoes salad was awesome. And the slice brisket sandwich was great. Very Very Good
I loved the sliced beef sandwich with lean meat and a yummy toasted bun. The green beans are a yummy side. And the fried pies well that’s just utterly yummy heated up— omg! This is one of my favorite go tos for lunch with the brown bag specials!
Passing through town, hungry for ribs, I thought of bakers - Which even has a drive-through. Perfect!I was a little disappointed. After putting in my order and pulling up to the window, it took a very long time for the window to open. When it finally did, the young lady took my card, handed me my bag, closed the window. No chatting, No asking if I wanted pickles or onions, Nothing.I ordered 2 ribs ala carte. They were tasty but could have been warmer. Would have been nice to have some onion with them.It sounds silly, But I ended up feeling sort of cheated. Luke warm barbecue And luke warm service and no onion. But I got my ribs & didn't have to leave my truck.Oh...they weren't busy at all.
Always spot-on. I had the two meat combo with ribs and brisket. Neither was dried out but rather moist and tender. Add the dill potato salad and green beans and it’s about as close to perfect for barbecue meal as you can get. I eat out a lot. On average 12 times a week. And Baker’s Ribs is a regular choice because they are consistent with the quality. Portions are comparable to any similar place. The price was certainly in line and a bit cheaper than some other places I’ve been too. $16.95 for the combo plate. Oh, and the fried pies are scrumptious. About $4 with tax, but plenty big to share. But who really shares one, right?
Been here a couple times and liked it a lot! Their food is pretty good but one thing I didn't like about eating inside is they make it impossible for you to take your leftovers home UNLESS you ask. You literally have to ask for everything and we had a girl tell us she was gonna have to charge us extra for some things if we wanted them...
This place is the bees knees! Brisket was smoked to perfection, the sausage is full of flavor, loaded baked potato came with all the good fixins. Despite other reviews of the pricing, I think it’s extremely reasonable… 2 meat plate (one WHOLE sausage and OVER a 1/4 lb of brisket) with 2 sides and Texas toast all for $16.95?! You honestly can’t beat that. The team was cheerful and quick to complete our order. Support your local BBQ joint and be sure to give Baker’s a try!
Good food, average atmosphere and cold beer! Very clean!! Would recommend if your looking for good ribs!! BBQ sauce was great, not too sweet and thick and hearty!!
We call this place the Pink Pig because that’s what’s on their sign—a BIG pink pig. Order the brisket and sausage for juicy meat, the ribs if you like your BBQ a little dryer. The house sauce is good, coleslaw is traditional, but, oh, the prices are through the roof. Always have been. Yesterday, 24 March, we paid $125 (no tip because we went through the drive through) for 2 pounds of brisket, 1 slab of ribs, side of coleslaw and extra sauce.
Ordered rib plate and turkey sandwich. The ribs were some of the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly smoked and the turkey was so so good. We had each loaded baked potato. Liked the potato salad too. The staff was so friendly when we walked in and even checked to make sure we liked our food. One worker found out we were from south LOUISIANA and came talk to us about how he used to work out of area we are from in oilfield also.Talked us into buying fried pies and OMG was well worth it. We bought 2. Our bill was only $37. Great price, great food, and great staff. Will stop by if in the area again
