First time customer! It was so relaxing and the customer service was A+. Highly recommend it as a after dinner spot for dessert!
Visiting Waxahachie and we had to try The Desset Spot located conveniently on the square. The chocolate cake was so melt in your mouth delicious and the Italian Cream cake moist and delightful. The pieces of cake are huge too! Friendly and family owned. Great find for the Road Trippin Ladies!
This sweet Dessert Spot definitely exceeds 5 stars from the time you walk in. The atmosphere is welcoming and setup very nice. But let's talk about the sweets. The lemon cake is to die for. Just enough lemon an very light but sweet icing...The owners were very friendly as well. Definitely will be returning.....
Great, homemade cakes, cookies, etc. that are made with love. They always have fresh, hot, and delicious Community Coffee. The owners are great people and love what they do.
This was a really adorable shop in Downtown Waxahachie. The sell sweets, treats, and coffee! It’s a perfect place to lounge, socialize with a friend, or study. While I was there I got their sugar cookie! This delicious cookie was bigger than my hand, and oh so moist! Highly recommend their sugar cookie!
the sweetest people ever! the owners are so kind and talkative! i definitely recommend this place if you’re in town! cookies are 10/10
When you are looking for a family-owned coffee and desert shop rather than the usual chain, the Waxahachie, Texas Dessert Spot is perfect! While taking lunch in Waxahachie, I discovered its charming historical downtown and this sweet spot to grab a hot beverage and dessert! The chocolate chip cookies are upper fresh and huge – plenty to share between the two of us. The vast selection of homemade desserts is impressive. Red velvet, butter sugar, lemon, double chocolate, snickerdoodle, peanut butter, oatmeal chocolate chip with walnuts cookies and more. The owners are exceptionally warm, professional, and welcoming. You get a generous smile along with service from Elmo. Whatever you order, kindness accompanies it. We noted Elmo’s pride in his wife’s décor and dessert recipe creations. For a mid-day pick up moment, this place offers it all. There is ample seating that includes a high-top counter area near the large front windows, table arrangements for larger groups, smaller tables with benches, and a cozy couch and arm chairs area. Very pleasant!Other pluses are that items are super affordable and its location is interesting as it's inside of a well-kept historic hotel. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting downtown Waxahachie. Its carrot cake, cheesecake and lemon cake are exceptional, too. Especially, the lemon is bursting with fresh fruit flavor.Take time to read the signage, quotes, and words of encouragement displayed throughout the shop. These owners care about their clientele and are passionate to offer an exceptional experience. We found parking easily and enjoyed walking to the nearby historic courthouse.
We stopped in here after an early dinner and I'm super glad we didn't go to Starbucks or another chain. The owner was working the counter and was extremely nice and genuine. The dessert (as you can see) was delicious. We just got vanilla cappuccinos, but they were definitely better than the cheap gas station cappuccinos. The atmosphere is nice and I would recommend stopping in!
I stopped in 2 weeks ago 1st time. The Coffee is the best, cookies are wonderful great prizes! My boyfriend and i love the Brownies we bring 2 home. A Very nice place ,people are very friendly! A+++
Discovered The Dessert Spot while passing through Waxahachie. OMG, this place is a gem! We're from Dallas and drive through Waxahachie to and from Austin/College Station/Houston often. Little did we know Waxahachie has such a cute, historical downtown, let alone this sweet spot! The cookies and brownies are GINORMOUS and all homemade. The owners were so warm and welcoming -- after a long drive, this place checked all the boxes. Everything looked so fresh and delicious, I had to get one of everything. We're back on the road. I'm supposed take these goodies to family back and Dallas, but with a box of eight cookies, one brownie...hubby and I couldn't resist. They. Are. Delicious.
