Poor business practices when you say you will take orders until a specific time and then you cut it off early. Some people make plans based off of what you originally said. You should be more respectful than that...you have customers that have medical conditions and need to eat.

This is a place I have go to for many many years! Excellent food and great small town atmosphere. I'm sad to see the Mason jars go away but completely understand why. Customer safety is 1st! Take the trip and visit this small town gem!
We almost left because there was a sign that said please be patient one cook is recovering from surgery but decided to try it anyway. No wait what so ever. Drinks came immediately, then appetizer came then we thought here comes the wait. Nope....food came shortly thereafter. We were completely surprised!! Very good food a day they were pretty busy.

This place is phenomenal!! The catfish was phantasmagorical and their chicken fried steak was to die for. Okra was on point like an arrow and their big red margaritas were sooooo f****** good. Laaawd. It's a but out in the sticks but definitely worth the drive. Little rustic setting type place with beautiful views. Highly recommend!!
Ne er been here. Visiting from California. Went to play pool and get a bite to eat. Ordered a few mango margaritas and the 1 lb burger. Great food for the price and yes drinks are great. Staff is awesome and atmosphere is awesome. If and when I return, oh yes I will come back!

Cold food!!!!\\nSo let me start with the wait; it wasn't too bad for a Saturday. That was the only positive!\\nFood? Can't say because it took an hour to come to us, and when it did, it was cold. We were a table of 3; husband, 2 year old and myself. Simple things off the menu, stuff potato and small chicken fried steak. Waitress never checked on us after drinks were dropped off, an hour later I get up to tell someone up front. The young lady/girl upfront actually rolled her eyes when I told her how long I was waiting. W\\nThe waitress saw me updry and that's when she decided to grace us with her presence. A minute later she brings the food. COLD! I'm positive she let it sit there and never brought it out when it was first ready. Again, after dropped off she didn't check on us. I had to go to the front to get a to-go box for my cold food I didn't eat. When we paid they asked how it was, I said not good. No questions asked by the cashier, just silence and asked if I wanted a receipt. I really wanted to love this place, but I just can't! Can't even like it! Good service means everything in any establishment and they had zero!
This is a Hidden Gem tucked away all by itself. The people are friendly. The prices are reasonable and the food is good. Their hamburgers are enormous...a must-try, if you can eat it all.
First of all this place is easy to get to from Dallas an well worth the drive.\\n\\nHave eaten here several times in the past. Each time we stop in, the food is always excellent. The margaritas are spot on, the wait staff are truly amazing and really fast on getting our hot delicious large chicken fried steak with all the fixings. Red Beans, homemade mash potatoes, green beans, corn. tea. and bread slices. These were all cooked to perfection. Can’t wait to go back to get more. Hats to this restaurant for an excellent job.
