Placed an order online. My order was supposed to be ready at 6:45. I arrived about 7 minutes early I gave them my name and was told my order wasn’t ready yet so I took a seat. At 6:55 I asked how much longer and to my surprise my order was bagged (by the same person that told me it wasn’t ready yet when I arrived) and sitting on the shelf. I watched them bag it several minutes prior to me asking how much longer. I walked across the parking lot back to my hotel and my food was already cold. I ordered chicken marsala and I was very excited until I took my first bite. The chicken has left a burnt taste in my mouth. I’m very glad I got a salad with my order so I at least I got something to eat that didn’t taste bad. This was my first visit to Johnny Carino’s and it will probably be my last. I did not call or take my order back because at this point I’m just done.

Brianna J is the best waitress/bartender there is. She can handle all tables in cocktail area and the bar all by herself. Wonderful service and wonderful food. Will be back.

Not a great experience.Bartender was fantastic, her mixed drinks were well made and balanced, and she was very attentive even while serving tables. The food was just not good. Everything was over cooked and bland. There was little to no flavour in anything we ate, but there was plenty of grease on it all.

Kids mac n cheese was good. Best cheese sticks and the lemon rosemary chicken was amazing.

While my boyfriend and I were enjoying a delicious dinner, the restaurant manager made sure he stopped by our table to check on us. He was super friendly along with the entire staff. The food was excellent, our cups were always half full, the bread was plentiful and the atmosphere was laid back and comfortable. We drove all the way from Tyler, TX and Carino’s did not disappoint! Thank you Jon R. for another perfect experience.

Haven't been to Carino's in years! Grew up eating here. Sadly, the service and the ambiance are not what I remember. It used to feel warm and friendly and relaxing inside. It doesn't feel special like it used to. Just blaaa. But, on a plus side, the food is delicious! Absolutely recommend the chicken carbonara!

Our visits are always satisfying and the food is always excellent. The manager John Rovello and staff are always professional and make sure to check on you often. If you have not tried the steak and shrimp, we highly recommend it. The Sangria is also very good and refreshing. The bread and oil is the best!

Conflicted. That's how feel about leaving this review. Johnny Carino's has been a long-time favorite of mine and was sad when the one in Fort Worth permanently closed. Heading to Waxahachie for my son's baseball game, on Valentine's Day, we see a Carino's and were thrilled! We knew we'd be eating there after his game was over. I am incredibly sad to leave this review...the restaurant atmosphere was not at all what Carino's is about, it was unwelcoming & dirty. The wait to be seated was less than an hour which we were pleasantly surprised seeing that it was V-Day, but the wait to get our dinner was another hour...still no problem, we expected that. The waitress was a dingbat, kept forgetting to bring us simple things like silverware, drinks, straw, etc. We could see the cooking station and there was only 1 chef handling ALL these orders AND carryout orders..poor guy! That's why I didn't complain about my meal, I wanted to give him grace...he was running around busy. He's the only reason I gave this place 2 stars. But in all honesty, my plate (Spicy Ramano) was COLD, not lukewarm but cold. It's a shame because the flavor itself was good. My husband & son's plates were nice and hot (Skilletini) but the flavor was not great. I saw one waitress spill a drink all over the cooking/pasta area and left it! I don't know, the whole place felt gross, the bathroom was dirty, table were not wiped, napkins and used silverware under tables. Like I said before, I'm sad to leave this review.

Bit of a harrowing experience at the Waxahachie Tx location of Carinos. I live about thirty minutes away and have always loved this restaurant. When the one here in Mansfield closed down I was pretty upset, but willing to make the drive to Waxahachie about once a month for my favorite Italian place. But the staff quality has dropped dramatically as of late. I understand restaurants are pretty desperate for employees these days, but I don't think it excuses what happened. My family and I arrived and were told it would be a 10 minute wait for a table so we sat down to wait. While we were waiting I overheard the hostess complaining to another employee about having to "get a table cleaned for this group of crackers." I did not confront her about it, but once we were seated I did ask to speak to a manager. The manager who I spoke with, Wes I think, tried to tell me that I must have misheard her and when I insisted that I knew what I heard he told me "you people tend to overreact about this kind of thing, I'm sure you either misheard her or she was just joking." Needless to say we left and won't be going back.

1st time to go here.Absolutely loved it,the bread and Oil dip was wonderful,Raspberry tea was good.I had shrimp scampi which was sooo good Hubby got Lobster ravioli, was real rich and too much to eat in one sitting.brought some of each meal home and was still very good as leftovers.Caesar salads were really fresh. Will surely return.
