Had the chili Reno and carne asada tacos with a mango chamoy margarita. Food is really good definitely among the best in the area. Prices are tad on the high side but the foods great and the building is really nice and clean. Only con I can come up with is the inside is very loud, but even that outside patio is loud with all the fans running. Only negative i personally had with the food is the cheese chili Reno was extereme overload cheese but that maybe ok for someone else next time I’ll personally ask for less cheese. Salsa is a tad spicy compared to normal Nothing bad but it has some spice. Definitely recommend and will be back.
We had the best time tonight! The food was amazing, but the star of the show was the new Cuban bartender - Mario! I would call him Super Mario in my book! Mario was very kind and attentive to our every need! From mixing the best margaritas in the house to bottomless refills on salsa! He told us about his bartending and food test he has coming up and he has been studying hard. Well in my honest opinion, Mario passed the test tonight - with real customers too! My wife and I are very demanding and he was very calm, patient and fun to eat with. I recommend you keep Mario on the team regardless of him passing his test or not, because we will be coming back to see him for sure! Thanks for making our evening a blast! Good luck Mario! Thanks for the great food, drinks and fun!
This was the worst experience! Our first time visiting this Campuzanos. We normally visit the cedar hill location. We waited 45 minutes to be seated. 1 hour after ordering our food to finally received it only to have to return it because it was horrible. The food was horrible and service was lacking. Had to call the manager (Miguel) only to be given excuses such as because of Covid he can't get good help. I told him then shut the doors and stop serving until you take care of the people you have already. What a joke of leadership. Please trust me. Go somewhere else and spend your money where it will matter. I was literally charged for food that I had to take to go because it was not prepared right until the other aspect of my party already finished. Horrible place. Do not eat here. I will try to attach a pic of my meal. I ordered the hamburger. This is how it came. Look closely, the meat is supposedly on the plate. Go some else!!
Food was good. Glad to be able to eat there again. Know now to order the beef/chicken fajitas with no tortillas (corn or flour) for gluten free option. Corn still has the risk of cross contamination. Did not eat chips or salsa. Thankfully I didn't get sick this time. Last time, granted it was 3 years ago now, I had the chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce and had my first episode. Having celiac I am way more cautious now eating at places that don't have a dedicated menu or that have caused an episode. Thanks to another person sharing what they get that is safe for celiac I gave Campuzanos another try. The new building looks nice. It was very noisy making it difficult to hear. Had to ask for a to go box multiple times. Overall good experience.
The wait tonight was supposed to be 45 minutes as it appeared to be really busy tonight. We hit the bar for a couple of adult beverages and sat in the waiting area. 14 minutes was all that we had to wait forma seat at the bar. The food tonight was excellent and the best I have had from them in a long time.Keep up the great work Campuzano's.
Authentic flavors and clean, CLEAN, plus a charming decor. Our new go to for great food and atmosphere. The photo was of a crystal chandelier with natural crystals! We wanted to take that home.
Very good food. Drink was never empty, always there to keep it filled.
Enchiladas were cold soft tacos with sauce poured over them. Sent them back and they came out only slightly warmer. Not much flavor. The food used to be better. Salsa is still good.
Customer service stands out to me ! It's makes the whole experience. Asked for table for 1 inside , as I was being seated the room was full of smokey haze from all the hot plates being served, so I requested to sit outside. There politeness and the server was tremendous. The fajita steak salad was of epic proportions, didn't realize till the end of the salad a shell crust at the bottom.
I love the outdoor patio space. It has plenty of tables and lots of space. I love that it's almost always open. I hate going to restaurants with patios but they're always closed. I don't have that problem here!!! Salsa is good and spicy. The charro beans are the best!!! Yum.
