On numerous occasions I have provided this place with second chances. Every time I have been let down. For starters, the kids (students) they hire have no experience cooking or working with money. They take forever to make your order and that’s not mentioning the extra time you’ve waited for them to make free time to take your order. Also, the first time I tried this place the food was good. After that, everything went downhill. They bagels are too big and tough to chew. The cooks burn them almost every time. They cut your bagel after it’s wrapped in foil which not only contaminated your food but now you’re having to fish out little metal foil pieces just to eat. I once had a kid tell me the salmon was 2-3 weeks old along with the cream cheese I chose for my bagel. Honestly this place needs a reboot. I waited in line for 10 minutes before calling the number on the truck looking for someone to take my order. It turned out the cook was sleeping in the truck where you couldn’t see in.In summary, the service is very bad and the food is tough, burnt, contaminated and very expensive. Your looking to spend $20 on two bagel sandwiches. This is the truck in the Pinewood Coffee Shop parking lot.
Great Bagels! We had everything bagels with lox and it was the best I've had outside of Brooklyn.
Please invest in operational efficiencies!Training staff, creating process and workflows etc.It will greatly improve the customer experience and loyalty. Food is great - experience needs attention.Recommend reading: E-Myth
Y’all consistently put too much cream cheese on your bagels. I get that everything’s bigger in TX, but this is ridiculous. It’s messy, overloaded with saturated fat, and ruins the experience of eating an actually decent bagel.
A favorite for breakfast/brunch! The prices seem on the high side on first impression but for the quality and size of the meal it is right on point. Wide variety of bagels, toppings or sandwich style meals. Love that they keep the truck at Common Grounds and Pinewood to enjoy a cup of coffee with the bagel.
The folks are nice and they SERIOUSLY load up these bagels. It wasn't large, but it was v filling. Worth the wait
I hate writing bad reviews, but something should be said. Okay, the bagels themselves are the 2nd best I’ve had in TX So far and the staff in the bagel truck were super nice. However; I went 2 days in a row and each time there were only 4 people ahead of me and there was a 20 minute wait. Not to mention, both times they got my order wrong, but by the time I got back to my hotel and found out I just kind of threw my hands up and ate it. Also, there is a severe lack of social distance at the bagel truck. No one is enforcing anything, and college season is here. This may just be a Waco thing because I notice the lack of social distance at most places in Waco. My advice to management would be to put more people on the weekend morning shift, train on social distance, offer staff more training.
Zero process. 30 minutes for 3 bagels. Workflow is a joke. They need help or to learn how to work a truck
My 1st time trying this place out and had the poppy seed schmear with jalapeno cheddar cream chz. There really was no kick for it to be called jalapeno and definitely lacked taste. Bagel was big for the price not bad at all. They definitely gave me alot of creamchz inside but wasn't tasty. Add more jalapenos and seasoning plz. Amazing Staff with smiles very friendly and knowledgeable. Will come back to try the burgers kinda intriguing.
