I’m not really sure what is going on with this Whataburger in Hewitt, TX.. the past few times we have ordered at this place, it has been a disaster..One visit a few months ago, we decided to eat inside, we waited and waited for our food over 45 minutes only to find out they gave our food orders to another group of customers because they had the same # as we did.. my husband was furious, he went to the cashier and asked for a full refund and we headed across the street to Freddy’s, placed our order and received our food very quickly, No disorganization at this place.On April 24, 2022, my husband tried to give this Whataburger another try; this time going through the drive-thru, he could not believe the ridiculous unorganized mess, we received someone else’s order, nothing he ordered was right, no cheese on burgers, no pickles, barely any lettuce, flat squished burgers, gummy-doughy buns, just absolutely unacceptable!! We can choose any place we like to eat at or order from and this Whataburger is becoming a place that we will most likely pass on due to the horrible service, sloppy, unappealing food.It’s sad that one of our favorite places has become another place that just can’t seem to keep up their standards. :(
Two years ago, this place was very different. There was hot food and service was under 30 mins even during peak hours. I understand the staffing issues in todays market, but everyone is experiencing it, not just whataburger. It’s not an excuse. Go here at anytime and you’ll have an hour wait only to receive cold food. Been like that the last 5 times I’ve gone. We will reconsider going here in the future. It’s a shame
Had dinner inside, arrived at 7:53 ordered by 7:54. Food didn't arrive at our table until 8:18. Not what one would consider fast food. 3 of the 5 orders came out incorrect. My son ordered an Avacado bacon burger that came out with no Avacado or bacon. My jalapeno cheese burger had no jalapeños and more onions than burger. Manager complaining about lack of employees while standing around.
Worst experience at a Whataburger ever. Shift manager was unprofessional, yelling at her coworkers, and never offering to help. At one point she yelled at a young coworker while he was assisting a customer, when he tried to explain, she told him to clock out and leave. He again tried to explain he was helping a customer, that's when she yelled at him to leave or she was going to call the police on him. Our wait time between ordering and getting our meal was 55 minutes. My double meat double cheese was so cold none of the cheese was melted. The fries were also cold. We will not return as long as that shift manager works there.
The employees here are so friendly. The food is always fresh and delicious and their customer service is above and beyond. This is my favorite Whataburger A++++++++Thank you Hewitt Whataburger will see y’all soon!
There was a HUGE rush and the workers were actually working incredibly HARD to get orders out but I imagine it’s even harder when your manager is sitting in the office instead of helping. The manager named Sandy was HORRIBLE. Instead of helping the crew she sat in the office and when she finally came out all she did was yell at the workers and even threatened to call the police on a teenage boy who did nothing but try to help a customer. No wonder this place has terrible reviews. With managers like Sandy I hope this place gets shut down.
Food here always tastes good. But there are a few issues this time I went. First, this heifer in front of me ordered three milkshakes which apparently took 10 minutes to make. Now what do you do with the situations like that? You're supposed to tell the other person to move ahead so you can bring them out to you later but I was forced to sit behind this woman for 10 minutes while they prepared this for her. My food should have taken way less than that to make and I should have been gone. Secondly I asked for nothing on my burger except for cheese and what do I get but a hint of mustard every time I take a bite of my burger. What happened was someone mistakenly put mustard on the bun and then proceeded to scrape it off. If I had wanted that I would have said nothing about taking anything off my sandwich and scraped it off myself. On top of that the food made me sick. I hope they're washing their hands there. I rarely get to eat at Whataburger and it's disappointing that I had a trip like this.
I still haven't tried the burgers, but if they are as tasty as the Whatachicken, it'll be good. The tenders were nicely done, just enough crispy, and whatalottasauces! Whoa!! I went with the ranch--- figured a chicken needs a ranch---it was free range delish. I'm dealing a 4 until I try a burger---
We had a good lunch at this location, don't understand why the Whataburgers in Waco are so hit or miss, mostly misses. Seems like they're hiring people that have attitudes which in turn produces bad products
They have got my order wrong multiple times, drive through can be painfully long waiting 20+ minutes on a few occasions. The staff seem like they could really care less. The food is ok at best, I like a good burger but there are definitely better options in town.
