Amazing brisket, get sliced and lean. The sausage was my favorite. The place is unassuming from the outside, but very modern and efficient. You can actual order from the table. The manager was nice and came to our table to make sure we were good. I wish these people all the best fortunes. We are from NC so we didn't get any pulled pork (we make the best), though I was tempted by the nachos. People of Waco, this is a gem, support them. Oh and it was so affordable, the portions are generous for what you pay. Go with the two meats and two sides, you'll thank me.
Awful food! Need to send manager to take some type of classes on dealing with customers.Maybe they would keep those they are losing. I am one. I understand I am only one person and as their attitude projects, they have enough business, so losing one person isn't a threat. Word to manager, "Word of mouth is the most effective advertisement a business can use. Never under estimate or judge a customer on ethnicity or any other factors." We paid right at 80.00 for food we could not eat. Was not looking for a handout, just experience made right. I understand, things happen and maybe a bad day concerning food but it should never be a bad day on how customers are treated. No worries, it was a loss of money. We had to reorder from another restaurant, BUT from this we found another respectable restaurant, with a reputation of being consistent with having good food. By the way, the manager was working and personally stopped by to ASK if everything was OK. Such, a pleasant experience and awesome food from this other place!
We had many recommendations to try Vitek when we visited Waco. One friend said if you can try only one Texas BBQ place make it Vitek because of their unique Gut Pak BBQ Brisket over Fritos. Of course we had to try it and we were not disappointed. It is a flavorful BBQ concoction and even with a half order it was huge!. Other items we had that were delicious were the pulled BBQ Pork and Cole Slaw. When in Waco you have to try the Vitek Gut Pak
Get the gut pack!
Food was average. Brisket was better than pork but that is what Texas is known for. Sauce was not that tangy, Cole slaw and potato salad were bland. I guess I just prefer Carolina bbq.
The pulled pork nachos and the famous for “gut pack” were nothing less than amazing! Didn’t need sauce at all, so tender! The sign says “market” but the restaurant side is in there also.
Omg this place is the bomb! Be smart on traveling to it because of construction. But it's right by the highway in Baylor. Some good eating. You can share a full order of anything and get full as a tick. Half order of nachos did me in. Some damn yummy!
Wow. The brisket sandwich is truly fantastic, all the sides are fantastic, the macaroni and cheese was the best ever, the potato salad was very solid, the beans were good, coleslaw was good. Definitely in the top 3 BBQ places in Waco. Expect to spend about 20 $ per person.
We loved Viteks! It was the first place we ate after landing in Dallas and driving down to Waco. The service was great, super friendly and helpful. The restaurant was very spacious. Then there was the food...which was fantastic! Great BBQ.
Vitek’s is a must-visit barbeque restaurant in Waco, TX. Their menu has a wide variety of different meats and sides, all of them very delicious! Every time my family comes to town to visit me in Waco, my dad always insists we go! The food is smoky, plentiful, in a convenient location, the service is great, and the venue itself is adorable! My favorite thing is the gut-pack, which is a LOAD of barbecue meats, beans, pickles, onions, sauce, bread, and cheese. It is a mouthful, but every bite is heaven! The best part is right before you walk through the front doors and you can already smell the smoked meat oozing out of the building, flooding the streets with a delicious smell. The wait isn't all too bad, there is enough space to seat many people, so you’ll always have somewhere to set up camp and enjoy juicy bites of the best barbeque in Waco!
