I ordered about 4 drinks and a PB flatbread on Sunday and wow was I unsatisfied! I come to this cafe about 3-4 x a week because I love there smoothies. But on this day I don’t know what happened. 2 of my smoothies had no taste and mine which was the banana chia boost Smoothie was so chunky and thick I couldn’t drink it. It was tasteless and not blended well. The lean machine was so watered down and also unflavored my daughter couldn’t drink it. The flatbread was so cold we threw that away too.. We couldn’t go back right that second because we were on our way to church. But we did go after church and still waited about 45 minutes at the drive thru because the lobby was closed and at the end they said they couldn’t do anything about it. I was so upset especially as many times as I go there. I’ve spent about 30$ there that more than half went to the garbage. I haven’t gone back and won’t go back either .From a very unsatisfied customer !
Smoothies at the Waco location are good, but the customer service is terrible. The ladies at the cashier are constantly rude and impatient. Don’t expect a friendly experience, instead prepare for their sarcastic tone or an eye roll if you ask of anything beyond what they feel like doing. I can’t emphasize enough how important having a good customer interaction is. Very essential for business. Highly disappointed.
Was excited to try this place, I have a 7 year old and what 7 year old doesn't love smoothies! Walk in, blaring music... F bomb. Yay didn't know this was a tropical smoothie club. Employess had a hang out station in the seating area with their personal snacks where they were making the music selections. Wait staff were meh. Played on their phones most of the time.Food was decent enough and the smoothie was good. All in all, sad for this place. So much potential, just need leadership to kick it in shape
Tropical Smoothie Cafe in Waco is amazing! Great smoothies and tasty food! Never had any issues, however our server tonight (Araceli) was really rude and rushed us, forgot to give me my smoothie, & seemed inconvenienced by us being there. There wasn’t even a car behind us in the drive thru so we aren’t sure what the issue was. But definitely made the experience less than spectacular.
I been at this location 3 times around 7:15 am and still close, today 6:05 pm and dine in was close... ???
First time visiting today and I definitely don't plan on returning unless the 2 workers go through some sort of retraining. (Male & female of maybe Indian decent) I asked what they would recommend but he didn't have a recommendation. I then opted for a regular strawberry/banana smoothie. While the woman was making it, I noticed that oats was an option so I asked if some could be added. The gentleman then said it would be $1.08 more. I really didn't understand the upcharge considering most of their smoothies come with 4 or more items in them. My smoothie simply had strawberries and bananas, I figured adding some oats wouldn't be a big deal but I was wrong. Smoothie came out to 8 bucks and tasted like a deluted, diet, chalky ice mixture of some sort. Bad tasting smoothie, somewhat rude customer service and overpriced is a BIG NO for me!
Pleased. Got an Island Green Smoothie via drive through. Employee was kind and patient. Smoothie tastes great. Has plenty of greens in it and just enough sweetness to counter the kale. Price isn’t bad for the size.

I ordered delivery thru Uber Eats. They're great! My order was the Baha chicken bowl with a side of sweet potatoes and I also got the watermelon mojito smoothie. They were all delicious!! I definitely recommend you try them out. Enjoyed the smoothie and the salad had lettuce, with rice, black beans, pickled red onion, guacamole, and chicken. Came with a sauce. Just a little spicy. Enjoyed it. Thank you!
