I work for a tree service company in Dallas . We have an account here in Waco and have been working here for the past month. We (the crew 10-12) go to the Taqueria atleast 2ce a week . Those queza ? tacos with the conzomé are delicious ??..
I ordered the quesabirria and they were so delicious. Definitely would recommend ordering these next time you're there. The food was fresh and still burning hot. The plate comes with dipping sauce and a cup of broth to dip in as well. Also come with extra onions and cilantro!
DON'T EVEN BOTHER! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! Even talking to the owner didn't help. OWNER let the girls talk back to their customers. FOOD IS DISCUSSING we had to return it. I don't know how they are in business. Zero stars.
This location has good customer service and good food.
This is not a 4 star restaurant. Solid 1 at best. Flower tortillas were store bought, barbacoa was chuck roast not beef cheek. Carne asada was not seasoned. If looking for a stop and go taco shop look elsewhere. Also over priced as a mf! The lady straight up said she doesn't eat the food here, like dafaq red flag!
Meat was boiled/ had no seasoning. Threw it away and went to another restaurant
At the Western wear store, I asked where to go for the best tacos. They suggested this place. I thought they were great…though what’s an East Coast girl know about tacos?! Thought they were perfectly sauced and I added sour cream, avo and cheese (came with cabbage, onions and I got no cilantro). Good lunch in my book.
Worst Birra tacos ever! Meat not seasoned and wet. The shells were under cooked and soft. Its not worth the money. The tacos on Bagby are wayyyy better guaranteed.
The tacos here are dry, lack seasoning, and are drastically overpriced. As someone who enjoys finding authentic Mexican taco trucks in and around Waco, I can say that Taqueria Zacatecas, or Taco Z, is not worth your time or money. Tacos average about $2.50 which is almost double other comparable local places. Their red sauce has plenty of heat, yet lacks any decent flavor. The green sauce is slightly better. After trying a myriad of tacos on the menu, I left feeling unfulfilled. None of the meats tried had sufficient seasoning in my opinion. If you are in the search for tacos, save yourself and look elsewhere. There are even much better tacos down La Salle on the same street.
