El Crucero can do no wrong.Well, since they have gone cash-only, it's been harder to make it by frequently. But everything they do is just right. Their breakfast tacos are nearly the best in Waco. For the price, they definitely are—$2 each.I have had their lunch tacos as well. All of them are good, but the pastor and asada are my favorites. Both salsas are delicious. The red is milder than the green.Their tortillas are delicious. I was recently able to purchase a dozen flour tortillas for a family dinner. Better than store bought!Head over there and check them out. But remember to take cash. You can have breakfast as low as $2 and a solid lunch for as little as $6-8.

I have not ever had a bad experience at this adorable little restaurant! Everything is ALWAYS fresh and made to order. They literally have everything my family wants when ordering. Burritos, tacos, gorditas, papusas, EVERYTHING. Staff is always friendly and the fact that they’re family is the cutest thing ever. Be prepared for long lines and make sure and bring cash. Other than that, WELL worth the small trip to experience authentic home cooked food ??

This should be one of those hidden gems places. So good and prices are perfect. Definitely will be back when I'm in Waco.
Drive thru is super fast and service is always good. Breakfast tacos are good and price is decent.
