If you are going to visit Waco, Texas to do the Chip and Johanna Gaines experience, then the trip hasn't been made until you have made the trip to the Silos in downtown Waco. They took these old grain elevator silos and made the place into a family friendly shopping experience. They have their bakery on site where they make their delicious baked goods, their shops where they sell all sorts of cooking related items (this place is mainly for the women), they have food trucks to buy your food at, a play area for the kids (and dads to have fun with the kids while mom shops); they had moved on old church and put it on site as well. You must make this one of your stops while in Waco.
Quaint little bakery with tables outside to enjoy your baked goods. We ordered the box of 6 cupcakes for $20 so we could try more than one flavor.
The line to enter went fast and ordering process was efficient and organized. Atmosphere was great, staff was friendly, and prices were perfect. Moreover, Shiplap and Strawberry Lemonade cupcakes were the winners!!!
We decided to wait in a short line and grab a sample of a few of the cookies. The wait was fairly short outside, but under a shade canopy. We ordered a chocolate, silo and chocolate chip. They are all delicious, but the chocolate chip was our favorite.
Worth the trip and the wait. Delicious! Customer service was on-point. Desserts - cookies and cupcakes are large and easy to share.
We drove to Waco from San Antonio 2x (3 hour drive) just to visit Waco and it was well worth the trip. Everyone should visit the Silos. Can't wait to go back one day.
I came tyo Waco during a slow summer, middle of the week day. I got right into to the bakery. Icing was outstanding. Buttercreme that was not too sweet in a cute individual box. $4. cookies were moist also.
Loved the Silos baking company. Cupcakes were delicious, only complaint, way too much icing, but my granddaughter loved them!
Hit the shop at a good time with little wait. Bought the cookie and cupcakes to go. The cookie $3 was fabulous. Large, crunchy with loads of chocolate. Havent tried the cupcakes.
Had to check it out since we were in town… I was surprised to see they only offered cupcakes but it was the most delicious cupcake I’ve had - seriously! It cost just over $4 for one with the tax. I think it’s too expensive to keep doing but it was an experience.
