Older woman working the drive through is absolutely unpleasant. When ordering kolaches I made the mistake of saying “regular” to which she replied in a snarky voice “I don’t know what a “regular” kolache is..”. C’mon.. Clarify, ask if that means sausage and cheese.. Any number of reasonable responses progress the exchange between customer and employee. To stand there with a snarky attitude and pretend not to know what I’m talking about at all is poor customer communication and service. When I said never mind she rudely slammed the glass door. It’s clear this person isn’t qualified to perform these duties.
The drive thru order taker walking outside half listened to the order and messed up the 2nd half dozen. I told him no coconut and no nuts for a mix, but got 3 coconuts and 3 maple. Shipley is behind the times for online order ahead orders and they use tape for their boxes due to the employees not knowing how to properly close their boxes where tape isn't needed.
Tried to park on the side ....not blocking traffic going by or entering the drive through....street side with a semi in order to run into and get some donuts. Before I could get out of the truck, guy tells me what looks like a public street is his drive through. I always thought a public street was....well a public street. Yesterday's Shipleys near HEB and 35 didn't make sugar whites, today I can't get in to one. Not that hometown welcoming spirit I tell everyone about. Donuts I'm sure we're great.

I truly think it’s unprofessional for an employee of this establishment to look someone up on social media and private message them some of the most foul, disgusting things I have ever read!! I called and spoke with the manager and even sent screenshots of it, (which I should post on here, but I won’t) she said she would let the owner Jason know,I haven’t heard a word from anyone in 4 days. Just to think this nasty, filthy employee handles your food!! I definitely won’t step foot in there again!!

I’ve been to practically every shipley’s in town, and this is the only location that has never served me cold glazed donuts. If you look at the Shipley website, you’ll read about how the original Lawrence Shipley Sr.’s goal was to serve the donuts hot. No other location I’ve been to values that like this one does. I just need to stop trying other locations even if they’re on my way. This one is worth going out of my way for.
