Our family visited the Waco area in April. We saw the reviews on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Were we glad we did. The food was delicious and the people who work there were so friendly. They are not your typical restaurant in that they have menu. They make a changing menu so every day is different. The day we went they had ribs, catfish and sausage. Along with several different side dishes. I loved the collard greens. The banana pudding was out of this world. They even had a live saxophone playing. He was marvelous. We will definitely go again the next time we’re in Waco.
We were driving through at lunch time and googled a place nearby for lunch and discovered the hidden gem sascee’s. It was barbecue Friday with smoked ribs, sausage or chicken and there was fried fish. My husband had the ribs and chicken with smothered greens while I got the fried fish. Both we’re very good. The peach cobbler was delicious too. If you like sweet tea theirs is the best. Great little off the path gem.
This place has one of the best Southern comfort food I have ever had!My wife and I both tried the oxtails and they were fall off the bone good. The fried chicken was super juicy and flavorful. The mash and gravy was decadent. The collards were tender and cooked to perfection.Overall, this was a great experience! We went on a Sunday so we recommend you get there early enough so you won't miss out on their food. They run out of food fast!Lastly, don't leave without at least taking some of their desserts to go. You probably won't have enough room to eat it while sitting ?
I've been living in Waco almost 10 years and never knew about this little gem! The food is served buffet style and offers a selection of southern down home deliciousness!I got the 3 meat plate with meatloaf, fried chicken and a huge pork rib. Each was so good!The staff is exceptionally nice and it was obvious they love serving people great food and they really appreciate their customers.The owner served us and she was super nice! She told us the daily offerings change from day to day so I can't wait to go back and try some of their other dishes.Amazing comfort food and a decent price, I highly recommend!
Customer service is important to the people who work at Sascee's. They helped us understand how to order food there and they made sure we had everything we needed. We went there to get fried chicken but they didn't have it on Fridays. We had ribs with good BBQ sauce. I would return if I was ever to be in Waco again.
Great food and excellent service. They really treat you like family, and answered any and all questions that we had! We will most definitely be returning and you should give it a try as well!
One of the best meals I have had in quite sometime. The service was impeccable. We will definitely make this stop when we are in Waco.

If you're in Waco, absolutely make it here, the food was amazing, the family that runs it treats you just like family. My sister was impressed they made yellow squash taste magical. Honestly if you're in Waco go here.
Had a late lunch there today, Woody and I must say it's great ? would highly recommend.. we will definitely be returning!! We got chicken fried steak ? the cabbage is delicious and also had to try the peach cobbler.... oh my goodness yum!! Nothing was a let down even the sweet tea
