My family and I visited this past Father's day. I ordered the BBQ ribs which is now undefeated, since tony romas closed down. But on this day, the chef that was cooking the ribs needs a raise. My bbq ribs were amazingly soft and just melts in your mouth. It felt like a taste of heaven.
We were a party of four going to the restaurant to celebrate my birthday. I had eaten here a few months back and it was delicious!! When asked were I wanted to go for dinner I couldn't wait to recreate the same experience I had before. Well.....as you can see by the number of stars something went wrong. I ordered the urban cowboy steak dinner medium to medium well. It came out raw in the middle and I mean raw were it was blue. They tried to correct it two times with no success. The manager came over and said due to the temperature being only a few degrees different it was difficult to get a steak correct!?? I have eaten many of steaks in my life. Never have I heard a steak house has difficulty getting a steak to order.He did take $ 25 off of a $39 dollar meal. I had to pay for my salad and the 5 shrimp I ate. All of the rest of my party had finished their meals when my came back minus the steak. Needless to say not a great birthday meal and they loss me as a customer.
Food was amazing but kinda slow for a not so busy time. I Stood at the front desk for quite a few minutes before I saw anyone. That is my only complaint however because when I was finally seated everything was great. Chalissa was a very sweet server and helped take care of everything and I overheard her assisting the other tables and doing a great job. Steak and mashed potatoes were perfectly done
Everyone was nice and the food was excellent and my husband put on our reservation that it was my birthday and they didn't do anything that was a little disappointing.
Great servers and buss staff. Leadership likes to stand around and talk. They were busy and our waiter had 6 tables, this is where they should help run the food and refill drinks. Our waiter was on it though. As for steaks, the kitchen plated the steaks wrong, so we just swapped em out no big deal for us but for some that would be an issue. Use the done steak tabs, it's literally that simple. The steaks taste ok, but much better seasoning and char elsewhere and for quite a bit less $$. Now their cheesecake is simply amazing! Best part of the meal. I'm not sure if it's a Texas thing or they Are just saving liquor, but easy up on the ice in the drinks.
The 4 of us arrived there and seated at 6 pm left at 7:44 pm 3 steaks cooked correct my medium rare rib eye was more then well done we ordered michelada they took 1o minutes to let us know they had neo michelada mix then ordered 2 negro modello they brought us modello especial light we did not order that then they brought us someone elses order very disappointed with the slow service and the mistakes i can handle 1 or 2 mistakes but not as many that happened that night i can add more issues i will stay away from that restraunt. I will go to the one in Mcallen texas they have all ways been great . I can add other issues but im tired of typing
Me and my husband went there Saturday evening and it was absolutely amazing. Everything was wonderful the food the service the drinks . Great job guys . Good service and everything else is very hard to find these days . You guys was awesome
Met my niece and great niece that I had not been with in several years. Had 2 of my best friend with me. The food was very good and our server was GREAT. she was so good about helping one of the girls with a glutton free diet get food just for her.
I normally enjoy Saltgrass Steakhouse restaurants. I understand that the restaurant is under-staffed but they can do better. A sales meeting of MAC tool salesmen was seated in the middle of the dining area. Diners in the area basically attended the business meeting. My order was incorrect. To his credit, the waiter corrected the error. My account with Laundry Select Club was not credited with the visit. I look forward to enjoying a different Saltgrass Steakhouse.
