Saturday 7/2/2022 we went there today for lunch omg it was so good. We will be going back for sure! Really nice people made us feel welcome.
Six stars if I could. I barely have the words….Someone once told me that I can’t go wrong w BBQ in Texas because it’s all good (which is false - you definitely can, and it’s not all good - but that’s beside the point)…but this place is the best damn bbq from top to bottom I’ve ever had. Brisket, links, and ribs are all just insane - each one could stand on its own and support a business unto themselves. Sides are also insane. Smoked cabbage and smoked mac and cheese - amazing. And then there’s the service - family run and you can FEEL it.
Their hostess and server made us feel right at home! Gerald served us his smoked to perfection ribs and brisket with an incredible flavor. The meat literally fell off of the rib bones! His sauce was perfect. Kim’s sides had exceptional flavor and were all piping hot! The peach cobbler was scrumptious! Our family highly recommends the place, food, and their entire staff! -Kay
Absolutely the best BBQ and service. We were treated like family from the moment we walked in. Ribs and Brisket were amazing the sides were so good. Try the cabbage and sweet potatoes…best you’ll ever have
Got the 1 meat plate with ribs, Smoked Mac and Cheese, and Sweet Potato Casserole. This is by far the best BBQ joint I have ever been to. I walked in and was greeted with smiles and friendly faces. We got to talk with the cooks and hear how this place was established. This was a true, down home southern cooking experience that I would recommend to anyone and everyone. The peach cobbler they served was a religious experience that was truly amazing! I will be returning for the great food and people ASAP! Y’all come on out!
Omg I don’t know where toStart! This is far the BEST and MOST friendly BBQ place I’ve been too. My entire experience was excellent. My family and I were greeted with a friendly smile from the waitress to the cook!The smoked Mac and cheese, cabbage, greens was the best I’ve ever tasted.Don’t get me started on the sweet potato casserole! It melted in my mouth with a nice crunch on top!Everything was on point! I have no room to complain at all!Just expand this business to temple ?. But I don’t want to gain any weight back ?. We will definitely be back to visit.

Can't say enough good things about this place! We had 5 people, most had never tried Southern cooking. Kim changed their minds forever. Food's absolutely amazing! We tried everything on their menu except the sandwiches. Sides and desserts are incredible! Best Pecan pie I've ever had. Hospitality is a perfect slice of Southern family love. Thank you Bree and Junebug! We will not miss this place next time we're passing through Waco.
All the meats are good! Moist tender brisket. Ribs tender, seasoned well, not salty. Sausage was, well I had seconds. Their homemade BBQ sauce is unique & so tasty I could drink it like soup. Very unusual, little sweet, little bite of heat, aromatic BBQ. I would go back just for their sauce. Friendly, cheerful service. Recommend + +. We’ll drive the distance to eat here again. Reasonable prices, portions are ample.
Wow! I would leave more stars if I could. Yelp led us here and didn’t steer us wrong. The food is absolutely amazing! Brisket, ribs, smoked cabbage, Mac and cheese, collard greens and brisket nachos!
