Our server was great even though he was trying to work 2 separate rooms. I ordered the chicken Flautas. They were long and soggy and hard to handle. I ended up just eating just the chicken when the entire flauta fell apart. The topper of the evening was a waitress standing in front of a mirror, twister her long hair up into a bun on top of hair as server's was coming out with food. She then came out on the floor, without washing her hands and started serving customers...

We chose dinner based on reviews I had read, and it was within walking distance from our hotel. We had to wait 15-20 minutes. Upon sitting down, our waitress took a little time to come get our drink order so another one did but we were apologized to once our server arrived. We ordered margaritas, I had an iron man, pina colada and blue curaçao, and it was delish! Food was good, not a fan of their salsa served warm.
Hot sauce is too spicy When asked about some that isn't as hot was told that is all they have. Chips- no salt whatsoever and half were broken up. Service was very slow and received chips and hot sauce without water... Big mistake It took 15 minutes to get a drink and the drinks had no alcohol that I could taste. $10+ for that? No thank you. Another 25 minutes to get more chips. Manager came out to talk to the table next to us, I'm assuming also had a complaint. As he walked by our table we asked him about getting more chips. He grabbed up our chip basket and walked away. Within 5 minutes had us more chips and salsa. In the meantime another server brought us chips. Manager made the remark, "You won't run out now". Very rude.
Pro:-Marilyn was our server and she was wonderful! Super sweet, personable, and attentive.Cons:- Food was lukewarm at best. Flavor wasn’t bad but would have been a lot better if it was hot.- Apparently the cook uses a BELL to alert the servers that they should pick up their food. Well..the bell rings constantly as someone rings it over and over and over, we timed it once and it was dinging for 40 seconds!!!! Super annoying and super unprofessional!! There is no reason the servers should have to tolerate that, or the patrons that are dining there either.
Our hotel recommended Ninfa to us and provided a free delicious appatizer. Everything is bigger is Texas. We had so much food. It was so good that we had the leftovers steak tacos cold the next day!
Still a lot of fun after all these years. I used to frequent this place while attending Baylor. I have been living outside of Texas for over a decade and now that I'm back I'm so glad to find this place is still a great spot. Excellent food, top notch Mexican cocktails and better service than I've received anywhere post-pandemic. Not cheap, but not overpriced in my opinion. Highly recommended to anyone, I can't wait to return for happy hour sometime soon.
This was a nice restaurant with a fun atmosphere. Unfortunately we didn't enjoy the food quite as much, especially considering this place was highly recommended to us. We acknowledge that it's worth going back and trying some other items on the menu.
Traveling from Dallas to San Antonio we stopped in for dinner. The restaurant itself has a nice ambiance, and the staff is extremely friendly, but the food…that’s a different story. I ordered the crab burrito, and while it had a good flavor, the sauce that’s served atop is very rich. A sauce that rich makes it difficult to keep eating it bite after bite. The dish would’ve benefited from some acid on the plate. A simple salad lightly dressed w/lemon atop the burrito would’ve been fresh and perfect! My husband ordered a dish that came with tortillas on the side and unfortunately they fell flat LITERALLY on serving authentic flour tortillas; which is one reason I rated them a 3 out of 5. Flour tortillas need a rising agent (baking powder) to help them rise, and theirs were not appetizing at all. They were also half raw making it difficult to really enjoy our food. The 2nd reason for the 3 stars is their tostada chips. They were completely saturated with oil making the bite unpleasant. We really wanted to like this place because it was a nice spot with super friendly staff, but just couldn’t get past the disappointing tortillas and chips.
