Wow! Tonight was the first time our family has visited MOROSO, but it sure won’t be the last! We tried several of the pizzas, salad, the goat cheese ravioli, and dessert, of course! The food was fresh and hot, and the quality was superb. The service was spot-on, and our server was friendly and knowledgeable. Later, the owner stopped by our table and was great to visit with. All in all, just a wonderful casual dining experience. The restaurant is nice and comfortable and has a great atmosphere. MOROSO checks all the boxes: excellent food, excellent service, great value. Can’t wait to go back.
This is the best spot in Waco and perhaps Central Texas for Italian. The food is outstanding! Old school Italian recipes from generational sauce recipes are the staples, but there are a ton of newer Italian specialties mixed in. Ingredients are absolutely top notch and the prices do reflect that, but the value you get is beyond fair.Lastly, the service is ALWAYS outstanding and the servers are not only attentive and well spoken, but also very well versed in the menu. I've gone manytimes and ordered purely on the server's recommendation, or even had the owner come over and I just asked him to make whatever he would for his family.
We weee in to own for Swaga golf tournament. Went to this highly recommended restaurant again. Ordered the fish special and was not happy with how done the fish was but the dish itself was outstanding. I pointed it out to the waiter Cooper and before you know it the manager was asking how to make it right. The owner delivered my fabulous replacement pizza supremo and I was very pleased with the service and the response to this situation. I recommend Cooper as a server and the food at Moroso is outstanding. I will be back again.
Great small mom and pop atmosphere. Staff is nice and friendly. Just had the best lasagna I’ve ever eaten and hear that the pizza is legit. There’s a slight chance I might come back again for it tomorrow. It’s beer and wine only and they close at 9 so plan accordingly. Wood fire oven is visible and can be felt and viewed at the bar. Percent date night place.
We did not have reservation and thought we would not get in, but the sweet pretty server (did not get her name) said she would check the patio if we were ok to sit outside. We were seated immediately and it was a beautiful night in Waco. Our server, Cooper, was excellent! We enjoyed the wine - not one we knew but so glad we tried it! The flank steak with the special butter was especially delicious! We will definitely make a point to visit again when we are in the area!
Excellent food and service. Real Italian. Wine list is weak but reasonable. Would return. I had pasta which was perfectly prepared. Wife had pizza and was very good..
Sat at the bar and received great service. It was quite nice to watch the pizza in the huge oven. The guy tending the oven was quite skilled at turning the pizzas and rotating them so they wouldn't burn. It was pretty cool to watch him working. Our bartender was especially awesome. She had great suggestions on which pizza to try. I wasn't able to get a picture as I ate the "Honey Bear" pizza. Great pizza with a hint of sweetness. I was able to snap a pic of my affogato before devouring it. Such a nice place to have a meal at. Thank you and I will be back soon.
If you love pizza this place is the winner! This was my first time eating here and it was some really amazing pizza! I got the americano personal pizza. It was cut into 4 and I ate half of it so it’s a pretty decent size for one person. I had sat on the outside and it was nice and peaceful. The staff was friendly and helpful and made sure we were well taken care of. I would most definitely recommend this place!
4/10 12pm Hostess seated a family before us even though we had a reservation. She then said she forgot about our family’s reservation. Finally she agreed to seat us and I noticed her roll her eyes when my parents were not looking. Luckily she was not our waitress, she would’ve treated us terribly. Food was great though and service is usually good.
Nice interior & great food. The arancini was delicious. Good pasta but the pizza is better. Loved the spice on the Vesuvio pizza.
