My husband and daughter have been talking about this place for 30 years and I finally got to go. A wonderfully small Korean restaurant that also has hamburgers and other sandwiches as well. The parking lot is dirt and gravel. The exterior of the building could use a little attention. There is a small garden in front of the restaurant beside the road that needs some help. You walk in to see directly into the kitchen, feeling the heat and watching the magic coming to life. There are only what may be 15 or twenty small tables in the place, and they are all kept clean. Then you are introduced to the menu. There aren't six or more pages of options, but maybe, three. Three delightful pages of real food. This place is a secret that really isn't a secret to the locals. I hope it stays that way. I love everything about it, just the way it is, just the way it has been for decades.
Food was quite tasty!!! Small meat portions but add-ons like small soup and salad ? come with entrees. Good lunch spot!!! Oriental fries are a must order....
Just order Oriental fries and found a hair in it . Never again. Bad place to eat . I noticed cook did not have a hair net on when I took it back.
Great burger and Oriental fries are out of this world! A favorite for many many years. My daughter loves the stir fried veggies and mandu.
I was recently visiting wake up with my wife, and I had not eaten at this place in literally 30 years. But I thought often of their food, remembering how great the burgers were, and the oriental fries which were super thin cut onion and other veggies fried up into A french fry like pile. It was everything I remembered. The food is great the pricing is good staff is friendly and the place was filled with regulars that the staff all knew by name. I will be going back.
SUPER friendly owners and staff always make you feel at home. We have loved Kitok's for decades and they constantly impress us with high-quality, reasonably priced food like Beef and Chicken Bulgoghi, Oriental Fries, crisp salads, Potato soup, Cheesebrgers, etc., are all done amazingly well.
Small, but awesome! If visiting Waco, it is worth the drive to Kitok for great Korean food! Delicious yaki mandu and oriental fries. Be sure to try the Bulgogi Burger! Have not had one like that since visiting Korea!
Need to put more meat in the dishes. I was with a small group of 6 and all of us had very little meat in the main dishes at an average cost of $15.00 per person. Also, my car drug in the backend pulling off the main road into their parking area entrance. No paved parking or handicap entrance.
Can I have the bogi plate and please hold the hair/roach and attitude Sandra. Listen up ladies and gentlemen, Today has been by far the worst experience from any establishment I've been to. I would say the food was good but then I uncovered a unwanted guest. You guess right, A nasty roach with long black hair looking at me. To the time I walked into a restaurant to the time I was leaving The waitress named Sandra, "I believe it's the owner's daughter" was a horrible host/waitress and Should be ashamed of herself the way that she spoke to her mother. My family and I would never visit this establishment ever again.
Little hidden gem in Waco....definitely a must-try whether you live here or are visiting
