We were tired and ready to relax and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening here. There was room for partying but we just wanted a good meal and while place was busy, there were plenty of places that didn't have a crowd of rowdy patrons. Food was good, waitress was attentive.
My son is Baylor student and we have made numerous trips to Waco but never tried George's. The last time we tried it was a 90 minute wait (Friday night dinner) vs. this time was a Saturday lunch and we got in right away. We are glad we tried it because we definitely be back. We had the Southwestern Club and the Philly with tator tots and sweet patato fries. All was really good. We will be back next time to try out the drink menu.
Went with our Goddaughter who is a Baylor student. It was her recommendation. She didn’t go wrong. From meat and 3 to a salad., food was great. Will go back.
Always loved this place and always left at least a 20% or more tip. went there on April 11th 2022 and left a good tip not thinking to look at the receipt. got home only to find out they automatically take 18% tip off the bill. THE TIP AMOUNT AND IF THEY GET A TIP IS FOR ME TO DECIDE NOT YOU!!! I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK
George's Restaurant Bar is great! The food was good, the facility was clean, and the service was exceptional. I would come back again. I would come back again, but only to try the lunch/dinner. The breakfast was nothing special. The jukebox was also pretty cool, but it isn't connected to the entire restaurant. I would recommend this place to my friends.
The Elite Chicken fried steak was HUGE!!There was allot of Breading and not allot of steakRolls we’re great, sides were great really enjoyed the Broccoli cheese casserole was outstanding, and last but most important the Service was fantastic and extremely helpful
Yummy meal after a long day! Found this place on TA after trying to find something close to hotel in Waco. Our group enjoyed burgers, grilled chicken/bacon/ cheddar and smoked Turkey on a bun. All delicious! We sat in lower level and liked the laid back vibe. Will definitely return if we travel back to Waco!
By far great food and the server I believe Elena was her name she was great. Only down fall was the wait time was not that great to get in had waited already more than 30 minutes because girl infront put my number wrong but I suppose other lady who looked like a manager got us seated as soon as I told her that they got it wrong not a bad experience but no lie it was packed.
So good! Good food, drinks, & service. Rolls & chips/salsa app great. Fish tacos with corn tortillas delicious. Husband loved the Elite chicken fried steak. Our server was very personable!
We're in Waco for our 50 anniversary. Our hotel staff recommended George's for dinner. It couldn't have been any better. Emily our server was promt, knew the menu and incredibly kind and gracious. Tiffany, the floor manager, was also a definite asset to the team and a definite keeper. Food was exceptional and plentiful. We're here for three nights and will eat there again before we leave. Outstanding.
